I had a MR4-TC, and that thing was a tank.

I just watched it also. I must say his car looked very stable and planted, especially down the straight, much more so than other brands.
Not seen camera on Ronnefalk or Hara yet to compair.

I drove one on Wednesday. Stock out of the box setup on med-high grip clay. Car felt pretty stable, with a slight bit of understeer. I was able to go .1 quicker with it than the fast lap of the night in expert mod. Was really surprised at how much corner speed the car carried even with the understeer.

So the plot Thickens......

Guess we have our Answer.....

http://www.redrc.net/2015/01/naoto-m...-offroad-team/

He's going to be driving a K car.

Shouldn't come as a surprise. Interesting, Tamiya for Onroad and Kyo for Offroad.

I was hoping to watch Hara's laps the other day, but the race he was listed in, he didn't race. I am curious to see how many folks jump on board to the new Yoke car and does that mean that this is THE favored car for worlds?

Obviously the Reedy is a huge first race for 2015 and it IS only Jan. but is this setting the stage for how the rest of the year goes? Doubtful.

Its seriously the "Flavor of the Month" when it comes to races and who is winning what. Ultimately the eyes will be on the Maifield/Cav battle (cause isn't this the first real race they have had against one another since worlds?) and obviously the chassis battles with the newer 5M vs R6 and 22 and now the YZ2. not to mention the 4wd battle of 44.3, the 22.4, zx6 and MaxIII.

Shaping up to be an interesting 2015 for sure!

As much as I am a Yokomo fanboy, I have to say that you forgot to mention the probably best 4WD buggy out there, the D413. The only interesting thing about the B44.3 to me is how many front arms will have been broken by the end of the Reedy Race...

But back to topic, let's drool a little more over the YZ-2!

Ouch!

True, i hear bad things about the A-arms.

True, Tessman and Moller are looking good. Also curious about how well the new S works buggy does in the hands of Hara as well as the Yoke he is piloting. Jorn is running yoke 2wd as well.

There are good vids of the reedy race at: http://events.redrc.net/

Jorns car just doesn't want to turn at the end of the straight. Tebo simply drives by him.

Default YZ-2 First Run

First day out with YZ-2 for Chris Sturdy at GCRC Raceway.
Buggy felt great on the low-medium grip indoor grip track.

Watch it in round 6. its planted and turns great. He did look to get out of shape and push wide on that heads up round with tebo to be fair. watch it later on or earlier.
I must say though the car looks far more stable down the straight than any of the b5m's.

I ran mine tonight and all seems good car is super smooth and jumps very good. I did make some adjustments from the kit setup but nothing major. If you do run the inside shock position on the arm and tower watch the rear drive shafts as they will pop out on full extensions. I ended up limiting travel in the rear shocks to 26.5 from bottom of the body to the top of the shock eyelet. Just heads up ( and does anyone know where i can get some dang part for this car?
