I don't like the lack of a gear cover.

ha! gotta complain about something might as well make it something important like a gear cover looks like the body is tight enough around the area that a gear cover isn't needed.

Couple features I am really liking are the thicker shock shafts, inserts for front caster (like the b5) and rear inserts for toe/antisquat (like the bmax4). Also it is confirmed that the front arms are a new flat arm.

It's that there are some tracks I have been to that a gear cover is really needed. I have found running without one is really hard on gears.

at FIRST look, I thought I was looking at a B5M with some bling. Now I see the differences in the transmission and I really like the carbon fiber inserts and parts here and there. Shocks look really nice too.

Chances are this car won't run well on a track dirty enough for the lack of a gear cover to be a factor. This is a carpet/super high grip design, with the motor and battery placed pretty far forward of the rear diff. Guys who run the 22 in mid configuration have been through this.

Yokomo has been the Japanese AE distributor for quite some time now, but cooperation when it comes to designing cars probably stopped when TT/AE bought the JConcepts BJ4 WE design and made it the B44.

Back to topic. I really think the YZ-2 will do pretty good during next year's WC, the change of rules to allow Astroturf was just announced:
