if you can check the drag brake settings on the esc, make sure it is set to 0 or no drag brake. then take the 4 screws out of the center diff top plate and remove the center diff and then check how well the front and rear axles free wheel checking for any binding, you could have a bad bearing either in the diff or out at the knockles and hubs.

pretty much ebay is it now, parts are starting to wind down. but Hpi Maverick sells a timberwolf that is the same truck and should be soon showing up in the states the way their talking, if not then you'll have to try matching some up from a different truck, like losi SCTE or equivalent.

There's 2 or 3 places on feebay selling parts from the UK, and a few online websites. I need to update my list for here. I kinda like the timberwolf green body, Its a little pricey though...
I just checked Tower this morning, and the cutback is saying Temporary unavailable! Maybe they decided to have China make a batch...
I would really like to see a Cutback 2.0...

Just an update, I drove my cutback at a 1/8 track a few weeks ago. It did great through the first battery, but on the second I must have landed poorly and the chassis flex was so bad, it shoved the center drive shaft into the center diff and caused the diff to lock up. All the fluid came out and the diff gears grinded till the internal shaft inside melted the diff case. The rear drive shaft bent too. $13 item now from the UK btw...
Nothing else was damaged, both the front and rear diffs were fine.
So I got it fixed and removed the rubber spacers that go between the end of the drive shafts and outdrive cups. That should let the chassis flex more and not press against the center diff.
I also was running around 2.5 to 3oz of washers ziptied to the rear bumper support. It works great now and doesn't nose in.
I will report back here in a few weeks when I drive it again at the 1/8 track. If it breaks again, I'm going to keep it on the 1/10 track.
I like this truck, but the maintenance is high, and parts costs are now through the roof. I find myself servicing the front and rear ring gear grease after like 15-20 runs. I almost am ready to get a 2WD SC truck instead. And a 1/8 truggy for the big track.

Anyone having luck with parts. Bent the rear shock tower and need to replace it.

But it is not sold in USA. I bought some parts I needed from Modelsport UK and they came pretty quick and were perfect.
So as far as I know, that is your only real alternative.

yes but you may not like the answer. The Cutback is identical to the Maverick Timberwolf
