Need help identifying "mystery" center diff...
#1
This weekend I was taking my new to me D8T apart to rebuild the diffs when I ran across the center diff that doesn't appear to be anything Hot Bodies has ever made. From what I can tell, it looks like an Associated diff - but I'm not sure.
Here are the questions:
1) What diff do I have?
2) How does the mystery diff compare in strength to the stock D8T center diff with hardened gears?
3) Is the mystery diff supposed to have a set of o-rings on the outdrives?
Here's a couple pics:

Durability is pretty good. There should be some orings in the outdrive grooves. Use pn 89121 for the oring kit. Put some black grease in the groove, then install the orings, then wipe the excess grease around the top of the rings and outdrive shaft.
