What would be the main benefit to using the XT6 conversion?

It combines a B6 and a T5 to make essentially a T6. Its not cheap, you would need a T5 and B6 to complete the conversion.

I might look it up to see what parts you would need to do a T5 without buying a complete B6.

Only asked if anyone tried it. Whether if it's worth doing well everyone has an opinion.

Biggest thing is have'n something a little different and having a common platform with the b6 buggies for those that have both. You do get some more adjustments with the rear pivot/axle heights and compared to doing say a shapeways laydown you don't have to do any hand fitting/drilling of the chassis.

There are a couple builds posted on the b6 facebook group but no results or video's posted as far as I know yet.

you can use the B6 C and D blocks on the T5m with a little dremel work on the C block to clear the tranny. And I think you can use the B6 rear hubs if you are looking for all the pivot/axle height adjustments but dont want to spend the money on the conversion.

Yeah, you can. I'm using them on my SC5M.

Have the B6 25 gram C &, aluminium D, and hubs on the back of my T5M and SC5M. B6 caster blocks, steering blocks, and steering arms on the front of both also.

Hi guys,

I am looking at getting one of these Exotek XT6 conversion kits. I realise that I need parts from both the B6 and T5M, but I'm just wondering about what parts I actually need. The majority of the chassis components are B6, but can I use the B6 steering blocks, caster blocks, and rear hubs etc with the T5M suspension arms, shocks, turnbuckles etc ?

There's also a few aftermarket truck drive train components that I was looking at, so basically the only things I would envisage using from the truck kit would be arms, body mounts etc. I could justify having spares from the B6 for my buggy, but not sure about the leftovers from the T5M kit.

I'm just starting in off road, so I'm trying to avoid buying two whole kits for donors.

Thanks for any help,
Daniel

Shocks, driveshafts and turnbuckles would be the expensive things you would need out of the truck kit,
