What surface are you racing on and is the xray twitchy and hard to drive?
I have heard people say that and that's what has been preventing me from getting one

im driving on what the truck was designed for..indoor carpet. It can be twitchy but running the right front tire helps a bunch. I prefer front staggered ribs over something with smaller pins/ribs to tone down the massive sidebite carpet can have.

Well Stadium truck is like the perfect class , a little more stable than a buggy but not a waste of time like a shortcourse ( dont mind me I absolutely hate shortcourse)

Stadium trucks are starting to have a heat or two on saturday racing so I need to get one.
I just dont want to buy a T5m and then next week the T6m would come out,

S-Ts are taking off now that my local track's moved to a bigger location and given up clay for carpet, and I know the same is happening at lots of other tracks. They're my absolute favorite R/C class, so if it's possible to run them anywhere, I will. Only problem is that there's really only two options for new kits at the moment, and the T5M isn't one of them.

I just sold my T5M with B6 lawdown tranny and I was running the new Pro-line Wedges on the front and I really liked them, no traction rolling what so ever and still had good steering.
I sent you a PM

i run swagers on my buggy. which are like wedges but a little longer lasting.

i just glued up a set of swaggers for my truck. Ill see if they are too much this weekend. just dont forget on carpet to run closed cell front on st and open cell on rear.

Another option would be the pr racing ST1V3T. It has laydown too. Two problems... one parts support and two quite possibly the uglyiest body I've seen in a while.

Although there r guys that run the buggy locally

I've tried to find this but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a good base set up for carpet running slicks? A new track is in opening in the area that is slicks only. I've never run carpet so I have no idea where to start on my set up.

I dont want to put a bunch of money into it so I'm looking at sticking with the 3 gear but I'm going to switch to the B6 spindles and rear hubs I think?

3 gear is fine. Start with White Truck Springs all around, run a shorty pack all the way forward. and see how you like it before you dump a bunch of money into the B6 Parts, which aren't really necessary IMO

You will need a gear diff if you don't already have one. Carpet, even with slicks will kill your ball diff.
