T-Maxx conversion to electric
New to electric, know pretty much nothing aside from what I've been reading the past few days. Buying something like an Emaxx isn't possible right now, and I have a nice Traxxas Sportmaxx FOC, 2 speed, 2wd with a 3.3 laying around. I want to convert it, it sounds like fun.
Need some education on what exactly I need.
Need education on motors, ESC, and batteries. Need to understand what kind of batteries can be sued with certain motors/esc etc etc
What motor would make this truck run at least 40-50mph?
Is 2 battery packs neccesary?
How does reverse work on elctric cars?
Will factory Traxxas TQ2 system wth 27mhz radio work for electric or will I need to update that as well?
I know it's a lot but I apprecaite any and all info or suggestions. I thought about just buying everything that comes with the Emaxx but didn't know if that would be a good route or not. I do plann on changing to single speed tranny. Is 2 speed a bad idea with electric?
