No I won't. I think Tamiya's price is preposterously ludicrous!!!

Just because something is even more outrageously and extravagantly overpriced doesn't make another product less overpriced. This is the psychology behind marketing that people fall for. Wow, Product A costs a bit too much… Oh but Product B is even more grotesquely overpriced. That's when the consumer begins to rationalize Product A and via comparison see it as a bargain in comparison to Product B, but it doesn't make it so.

I've been in Marketing and design for over 20 years so I know how it works all too well.

Don't know why but PT Barnum's quote comes to mind when I see things like this.

It was more of a sarcastic response, you are not the only one who is in the marketing field...

Would be awesome, do you go to any local tracks in particular?

I'm usually at IERC or Pegasus.
this weekend there is a race out at Giant RC that the Bechard family is having trying to save the track. Its gonna be perfect for 4 wheel buggy!

I run the new TLR and i am not very happy about the parts that are breaking! may be looking to switch ASAP.

Just to clarify the pricing.

We tend to pay a bit of a premium over here compared to you guys. The RRP for the car over here is £399. The car will actually be discounted to £360 ish. That is similar to the Xray XB4.

My guess is that the D413 will sell stateside at about the same price as the Xray. Expensive, but not unusually so.

I think with a car that has all the Carbon, and tuneable parts included is well worth the sticker price. What I like with the current HB line of vehicles is that you are getting a Factory Team car. There really isn't any parts that you need to upgrade to be better out of the gate.

My 2 cents

You need to give a guy a warning b4 you post numbers like that. I spit some of my morning coffee all over my laptop. LOLOL This is just my opinion but that's way too much for a 1/10 buggy no matter how trick it is! On the other hand I can remember ME paying $599.99 for a Vorza, yes I did it and I raced it. Oh the shame. hehehehe

thanks for the endorsement JD. yeah for the kits I design I try to make them good to go right out of the box. you may need some tuning items like springs and for this car the carbon arm covers but I don't think any upgrades to make the car raceable are needed. the kit will already come with all the swaybars and all the various hinge pin mounts and even some blank pistons.

I wouldn't read too much into what one online store in Europe is pricing the kit at. Once you see prices at the US stores, that's the number.
