Where can one get shock limiters? I don't see HB brand limiters anywhere. Thanks again.
From my personal experience, I have used a variety of limiters in different vehicles, The main thing I look for is that the limiters don't interfere with the piston holes and not add any odd issues with handling.

THe limters sit under the piston, I don't secure them. My impression is the piston does sort of an umbrella effect as the shock compresses possibly "blocking" any flow on the limiter (Assumption here). On rebound the limiter gets the oil flowing against it pushing the limiter up against the piston. It may be the position of the limit may not change.

Again, just an assumption. I could be wrong. I would suggest that any limiter you use moves freely on the shock shaft.

wondering the same thing too. My previous from what I recall used composite gears for the smaller gears as well as the cross-shaft in full mod conditions (I don't recall them saying they switched to steel gears at all on some setups I reviewed).

If I still had the gears here I'd be curious how similar they are to the stock HB ones and if they could be used in some fashion.

Maybe HB has something in the works. I hope any vehicle revisions they plan if they make say a D4'18 car looks into this from spec racing perspective.

Are these the same composite diff gears that were offered as an option for the dex210? If so I can measure the shafts when u get home for anyone interested. If it helps.

Well luckily I had spare diffs for the d413 and the 210 and unfortunately the plastic gears of the 210 wouldn't even come close to fitting. The cross shafts are much thicker so you can't even get them in in the d413 diff housing without shaving off a lot of meterial. And if you just tried to use the plastic spider gears on the d413 metal shafts, there would be a lot of slop and would ultimately end up in an exploded diff lol

how is the size of the gears themselves in comparison?

I got AE gears from my B6, I'll give those a look too.

Both the spider gears and the sun gears are just a touch smaller in circumference on the d413 compared to the 210. So if you tried to run the 210 spider gears with the d413 sun gears you would get a bad gear mesh. And there is no way to use the 210 sun gears in the d413 diff housing

I may have some spare gears here for the d413 actually, may not need to open up the diffs. I'll give that a look. Working on the cars to be ready for last indoor race saturday.

Very tempted on a D413 I am seeing to pick up another one for another family member to use, get my count up to 3 if I can get the price down on the car.

My car is 1777 and if I really need to shed some weight I can take out my HUGE Orca speedo and opt to a smaller, lighter Hobbywing. The lighter gears my save on rotating mass but make sure they can handle the ponies when you stab it while landing

Let me say. Wow those stiffer sway bars were a great addition. I ran 1.8mm all the way around greatly increased its ability to corner without 3-wheeling or traction rolling.

I also heard others using TLR SC rear sway bars at the race but am not sure of the fit/finish on them.

cool! Looks like something else I need to grab lol.

For a vehicle that was basically to be a bridge vehicle and was cheap, I have been quite happy with it.

I am building my first D413 and am having problems with the 4 m2 20mm diff screws. I have rounded off a bunch of their heads. I have the proper 1.3mm (.050l) allen key but the screws require a lot of force close to the end. Better to get a 1.3mm driver instead?
