They don't own HPI/HB, just the Distributor.

2 questions:
First of all Jeremy, how much slop does your car have in the steering?

I saw last week someone mentioned that HB was aware of some things and they are making changes, BUT no one posted what the parts or changes were!
Anybody know?
im wondering if I have a defective car or are all of the HB D413's that sloppy in the front end?
I can email video
can u post vids on rctech? prob not

Front hubs are sloppy from the get go. I've fixed the steering arm slop myself, but still have lots of slop on the wheels.

Dude, so now I know mine is not defective LOL, did not really want to say anything and I love this buggy, but wow really? brand new out of the box with that much slop? I was wondering if it was actually engineered that way so that there is some give for less stress so parts don't break? that probably sounds crazy I know.

nope, not defective. tons of steering slop. i was able to take a little bit out with shims under the ackerman screws, but again, that took away just a bit.

Here is a quick little video link of mine and another D413 and the slop in the front end and steering rack. The slop is greatly reduced once tires are on the ground.

Just like the D812, the D413 was engineered with slop built in so that the car will stay more consistent as time goes on.

this is DEFINITELY NOT my first car by a long shot! The flanged bushings are about 1-1.5mm too long, and yes I believe in slop BUT...Lots in front wheels at the hubs also.
On the video mine looks to be about like yoursI did videos with body off
