What aluminum horn is everyone using?(based on servo ofc)

I am running a JR Z9100s and tried a HPI/HB like the one Ty is running. I had to use the spare small cups that were with the links, not the really small cups that were in the servo bag. Everything was pretty square, but the throw was really small. Short throws will give you faster movement, but less power and less resolution. I put a Dynamite arm on so I can use 1 hole closer to the spline, but it doesn't stand off as far as the HPI/HB arm, so I put the 1mm shims between the mount and the servo. I am kind of OCD about getting everything square with the steering geometry, so I might change it up again, lol.

I think you need a 23T spline horn for that, but the servo specs should tell you for sure.

Will the 23T HB aluminum one work? It doesn't have the D413 listed, but maybe because it's too new still. Just looking to see what everyone else is using to make sure I get the right one. http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...n-23-JR-Spline

Thanks for the help!

the aluminum HB servo horn will work with the D413. that's what i use except my servo requires 25T.

I am reasonably sure the spline would work, but a servo horn can have an offset of the tip relative to the socket. So I am not sure if it will be a perfect fit in that sense or not. The D413 also has two sets of shims that can reposition the servo a little bit.

I assume it would work, but I have not tried that servo or that horn in anything myself.

Why not use the servo horn that comes with the kit? You can adjust the tension on it so that it is locked in place. The horn that comes with the kit looks solid enough for any abuse the buggy will see.

after 10+ packs running outside dusty dirt track I thought I would find dust inside the rear gearbox, but I was surprised it was minimum. looks real clean
