as for a 4wd tire mounted on a 2wd rim, Ty has been running it like this, with PL 22 wheels and it's been fine.

I totally missed that post. Will work well if/when I jump ship from the 22-4!

Just an FYI. The AKA rims for the 22-4 rub on my steering ballcups when I put them on the 22-4 unless I shave off most of the ballcup in that area. Something is not the same on the AKA evo rims - I think they have less offset than the TLR 22-4 rims do. Would be cool if Torrence could measure them as I don't have a tool that will work to measure the distance from the rim to the bottom of the hex.

the HB spring rates are published. we'll have a sheet like the D812 springs which will list all of the info. as for the Kyosho springs... i wouldn't want to deny the Kyosho people from providing that info/service to their customers after all they charge big money for them. lol.

Have you tried the TLR Low Frequency springs or are they in the wrong range for your car?

looking at my car right now which has AKA evos mounted... no rubbing whatsoever with steering turned lock-to-lock and at full up and down travel. not sure about the non evo wheel though as i haven't tried them. if you look at the pictures closely the D413 has a specially shaped steering ballcup that provides clearance with the wheels.

the front low freq range seem too soft, the rears seem ok.

the standard tlr springs cover the range but they have a huge step between springs!

Yeah, the TLR guys had to go to the stiffer regular ones at the Cactus too.

I believe Phend and Evans were running truck front springs at one point.

Ty, its good to see you post in the D413 thread. If you don't mind, I had another question. I looked at your setup sheets you posted on your site and it said you were posting race setups "as well as some basic starting point setups". I plan to use your Reedy setup for the indoor med to med high traction tracks in my area. But was wondering if you were going to post more generic setups that we could use for certain track conditions? Some of your other setups are a little more high bite then I would ever use.

Thanks

I have bought the PL velocity front wheels (2735-02) and the TLR 22-4 front wheels (tlr43004) but there is a difference in offset. the TLR front wheels will make the car narrower in the front compared to the PL velocity wheels

both can be used, right ? any advantages when you make the front narrower ?
