glad you brought that up! yes it seems the 22-4 fronts with the 12mm hex is compatible. I've tried a set of AKA evo wheels for the 22-4 and it fits. the offset is identical or nearly identical. the 22-4 front is probably the better option instead of the 22 front. at the time of my earlier post the 22-4 wasn't out yet.
as for a 4wd tire mounted on a 2wd rim, Ty has been running it like this, with PL 22 wheels and it's been fine.

I totally missed that post. Will work well if/when I jump ship from the 22-4!
Just an FYI. The AKA rims for the 22-4 rub on my steering ballcups when I put them on the 22-4 unless I shave off most of the ballcup in that area. Something is not the same on the AKA evo rims - I think they have less offset than the TLR 22-4 rims do. Would be cool if Torrence could measure them as I don't have a tool that will work to measure the distance from the rim to the bottom of the hex.

the HB spring rates are published. we'll have a sheet like the D812 springs which will list all of the info. as for the Kyosho springs... i wouldn't want to deny the Kyosho people from providing that info/service to their customers after all they charge big money for them. lol.

I have bought the PL velocity front wheels (2735-02) and the TLR 22-4 front wheels (tlr43004) but there is a difference in offset. the TLR front wheels will make the car narrower in the front compared to the PL velocity wheels
both can be used, right ? any advantages when you make the front narrower ?
