btw has anyone else noticed the included pistons don't provide enough pack? 8x1.3 is barely enough for the buggy. I'm guessing I need to do a 6x1.3 or a 8x1.1 maybe... I'm not sure if the springs are off or not but I know pack is.

Yes I noticed that as well thinking about putting my fioroni pistons in it they are just collecting dust right now

The kyosho MP9e pistons are drop on.. I just ordered a set of 6x1.3, and 8x1.2 they are only 6.50ish/pr best bet imo. I plan on going 6x1.3 and reducing oil weight from kit and it should be spot on. Thinking 40 front, 30 rear (losi oil) will be close and should make the kit springs feel better as well but I did order 1 rate higher of those if needed as well. We shall see.. any legit pro's have some setup ideas here yet? Have they not been testing for a while on this truggy?

I believe there were only 2 prototype of which one was stolen. I don't know how many drivers really had a chance to play with setup prior to the manual being finished and kit parts finalized.

I have been using 6 hole pistons after the first week of driving my EB48. I found 8 hole pistons to not be enough in the buggy let alone the truggy.

Has anyone tested 15/15/10 for the diffs?

going to 10/15/5 seems like a very big difference, not sure if i need that much.

on a totally different note i love the disc brakes, super stable compared to motor brake.

Ran mine at the crcrc Midwest nitro champs. Was the only etruggy there :(, so they let me run with the nitros. I ran in the pro class and almost made it to the A but one bad lap in 4th qual put me from 5th overall that rd to 11th. So I qualified 2nd in the B. The b main was 25min long, I battled switching positions from 1st 2nd and 3rd the first 15 min till my battery swap pit. We knew it was going to hurt us. It was a 41 second pit which killed me, but still ended up finishing 4th in the B. I drove the stock setup the whole weekend with fioroni pistons. I know some things I wanted to do to it but wanted to see how I could finish with the stock setup. I was very impressed with the truggy and so was everyone else. Think I sparked some interest for etruggys. Everyone wanted mine and to wheel it...........btw my battery swap pit I felt like everyone was staring at my pit guy and me, I was in first when I had to come in lol. Had fun tho, it held it's own. This thing is a beast!! I will definitely be running the stock setup at a loose outdoor blown out track.

CSI Pistons

I don't know how many of you'll have tried these, but they have been great in my buggy. I have them ordered for my SCT and the truggy:nod:>>>>>http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ton-Set-Blue-4

I feel your pain.. I was in a few long races last summer vs nitro; one that was w/ a money pay out.. I was real clean and had the lead in the a-main by almost 3/4 of a lap when I pulled off for my pack change even w/ two guys I went out a lap down made my way back to the lead lap but there was no catching him being nearly a full lap down, he is an awesome driver. I need a quick change lipo system :P

I have to try the disc brakes, a guy at our track swears by them:sneaky:

I sold it because it did not fit my drive style. The buggy is very aggressive. I tried a lot of tuning and just could not get it to be the right amount of aggressive. It never felt like it wanted to settle down. It was always on edge and ready to attack. I bought this mugen to give it a try. I took it all apart, cleaned and changed oils. After about 5 laps I knew this was the buggy for me. It was not too aggressive but if you pushed it it would not get upset like the tekno would do sometimes. Don't get me wrong the eb48 is a very good buggy but not for me. I love my sct410 and will be keeping that. It drives sooooo good! Every time I came off the drivers stand I had a complaint about the buggy. The mugen just need some fine tuning but the box stock setup is good. I am more consistent with the mugen then the eb48. The eb48 had a twitch to it that would throw me off.

I did switch the emulsion shocks on the eb48 and it did help a good deal. The mugen still just drove better and felt more comfortable with it on the track. I drove scorpions Et48 and it has the same issues as the eb48 so I just bought a mugen truggy.

No problem! the people on the tekno threads have been great! Great info and tips. I will continue to hang out in here and help with what I have learned with this kit. The amount of stuff on the first post is awesome. I went to the mbx6 eco page and nothing. I will have to read through all of it to find things about the mugen. I will miss that first post of info on a kit.
