Based on the rig posts following yours I think I was the only one who got it...

Personally, I plan on having either an EB48 or ET48 to bash with some time this year. I'll never race.

I pre-ordered mine on the 19th from towers.. the person posting for Tekno on FB said all those pre-orders were filled. With luck, by this time next week :)

Fairly certain that the Castle 1520 is too long to fit in the truggy without relocation of the ESC. The Castle 1518 might just barely fit with the ESC in the stock location.

You're right, the 1520 is 88mm long. I also have a 1518, I just measured it and it's a little over 83mm. I checked my eb48, assuming it has the same amount of room and I don't think the 1518 will fit. I'll need to find a smaller esc or just go with the Tekno esc and motor, the 2000kv Tekin motor should push it just fine. Bummer I like the big Castle motors. The Tekin will save some weight also.

Tower just changed their stock status from Mid January to Early January so its getting closer. :D

If Tekno shipped them out to Tower yesterday, maybe Tower will be shipping out by the end of the week.

Yes Sir! that put a smile on my face:nod: Just checked my Tower Order, and it moved up too! Just didn't want to see Late Feb, or something like that...lol....I feel like Ruprickt the Monkey Boy, I think I'll go get a couple of the wife's pots and pans and run around banging them together:lol:

1518 is a beast of a motor. buggy of mine has that in his Tekno converted D8 that used to be mine (motor too) and its nuts on torque. He runs it with truggy / MT tires so kind of a muggy. insane power.

I have the 1520 sitting here too, very powerful, pushes around my 1/5 scale savage flux conversion with ease, cool to touch.

In my Tekno v4 d8t I love the performance of the 1520 and the 1518. The last race with the 1520 I ran it with a 5s pack. That was waaaaay too much power, fun to see the front tires at the end of a 170' straight the size of a med pizza! LOL

1515 is just right for truggy.. The t8s are great, but for performance and price get the hobbywing combo, the motors are great and the xerun 150a esc's are the best 1/8 esc on the market. Smoothest and most reliable and a reasonable price tag.

Mullet1 01-07-2014 03:29 PM

Tekno

When will the truggy specific parts be available to buy? Body, arms, driveshafts etc???

UK.hardcore 01-08-2014 12:41 AM

Ain't gonna happen Mullet1, bend a chassis = buy new kit.

:D:D:D

Hope the plain to France with the ET's landed already.:nod::nod:

mechanic_dan 01-08-2014 06:05 AM

Cant wait. Pre ordered mine in December through my local shop. Hope it comes in soon. Got so impatient I went out and put truggy tires on my EB48 just to get a picture in my head. E-Truggy is the future.:spidey:

bend a chassis and buy a new kit....thought that was only Durango we had to do that. ;)

I'm hard on cars and the arms, driveshafts and bodies are needed.

BTW my truggy arrives by the end of today. :D
