Thats kind of what i am thinking or Vipers new 2100Kv motor. The 2050 always had a bit more snot to it than the 1900 which could make it more of a bear in buggy. Maybe this would be perfect in truggy if doing the buggy motor thing.

Looks like a good amount of interest in truggy for the track i'll be attending. :nod:

I believe its like 50-60 grams between the Tekin buggy and truggy motors.

so in my terms that is only around 1.8 ounces
that shouldnt make a difference! My rc8tce was a pig and had a Tekin2000 on 4s
and was a beast!

I`ll be running Tekin Gen 2 1700 on 5s , ( allready have the combo ) will be putting in my order for the ET 48 at the middle January if finances work out .

I'm going to start with a 2000kv Truggy motor on 4s. If I find it to be too much power I can always try a buggy motor. I'm not sure what pinions I should be using though?

I would bet a 15 would be a good starting point depending on your track size of course

if you get in touch with someone at the track to give you an idea of there gearing, use a speed calculator and back track that way to what speed you want to go with.

Or, gear for say 35mph to 40mph initially. That usually works to start.

Another reason I'm going with the buggy motor is that I ran one in my Associated truggy with good result, and I have a feeling the Tekno will be a lot lighter than that thing.
