I wonder what the weight comparisons will be with TEKNO and RC8tce
Equipped the same

kawi650 12-24-2013 07:05 AM

Tekno lists the ET48 at about 9 lbs RTR while Associated lists the nitro RC8T at 9.3 lbs and I believe that is the rolling chassis weight. So I would say the Tekno is a ton lighter.

That's not even a question. Tekno or associated who's lighter? Lol

Was the ET48 running the kit setup at cvrc toys for tots?

Now who wants to be a volunteer marshal for this class? :D

9 plus pounds weights coming towards you at 20 mph.

Even at 20 mph it's still going to hurt. :D

I don't see too many people run into marshals on the straight, but usually coming off jumps at a bad angle. Guy at my track got hit in the head by an ebuggy and was knocked out cold.

Well I guess E buggies are just as Dangerous , I`ll stick with the truggies ;) LOL

Yes our front straight Is very long into a huge sweeper followed by a 30 ft double. So yes if your a good driver you can hit that double at full throttle. Needles to say that marshal spot off the double has to be experienced

I just weight my RC8T this is with the E conversion wheels , tires , and body no batteries it came out 8 pounds 8.5 ounces , if you add the lipos well at least in mine i`m running 5s , 3cells and a 2 cells in series , it will be another 1 pound 10.5 ounces for a whopping total of 10 pounds 7.0 according to my digital scale

I thought that was what we were led to believe as soon as they were available for preorder. I bet that most people will be lucky if they get them in January at all from Tower or Amain.

Amain should get them out pretty quick. I got my EB48 and SCT410 through them and they shipped within a few days of Tekno getting them. Tower on the other hand......
