+1 for sure. Just keep a series connector on hand so you can run two 7200 2S packs if you ever feel like you need the extra runtime in a pinch. Our e truggy class will grow by 1 as soon as the ET48 order link pops up :tire:

Hey Matt, I'm waiting on the order now link to pop up also! If the guys would bring them we will have a class! Bobby just built a brand new e truggy
Bubba, you and I and whoever else joins in!
youre running 6s in your truggy?

I've been really happy with the combination of 6s / 1400kv in my EB48. None of the tracks around us have a 4 cell limit so I'm going to stick with 6s until I encounter a compelling reason not to anymore

It's not like the power is helping you win, i see no reason why it wouldn't be allowed. Only so much power can be applied before it turns to wheelspin and i think electric 8th scale in any cell count is already at the limit for grip. If people have a problem with it, then they really don't understand what all is going on.

trouble is you have "that guy" who is going for nuts power and in turn CAN'T control his vehicle, hence is all over the place on the track and is a danger to others. Now, don't get me wrong, I believe its the responsibility of the track director / owner to put a stop to that right away, but from what I have seen its pretty common that at times no one says anything.

I personally am in the camp that its not more voltage that causes the problem when properly combined with the right motor kv, its the driver.

But some places use that as part of the reasoning not to allow 6S usage, or, require you to use a hardcased lipo.

If you are already going to spend the dough, knowing that everywhere the class is run (unless someone knows different) allows 4S, while certain places allow more, to me at least, might as well go with what is most common so you have something that is legal all the time (basically).

what are you gonna put in your truggy?

mstrong 12-05-2013 12:25 PM

I don't disagree Cain - 4 cell is a 'safe' choice and if someone new asked me for my opinion I would lean in that direction without mentioning 6S setups at all to avoid overly-complicating things for him or her

I haven't heard much more talk about ET48s being tested with buggy motors, so I will probably run a 1350kv paired with an RX8 Gen2

Hi guys,

Just wanted to be as open as possible with everybody. We are unfortunately experiencing a couple minor delays in production of the ET and NT48. We force a bunch of projects through at the same time and we are waiting on a couple more items to finish up on the truggies. So a release by the end of the year is unlikely :(. Early January is more realistic at this time. We're doing our best and we sincerely appreciate everybody's enthusiasm for this kit. Thanks!

Cain 12-05-2013 12:36 PM

We forgive you :)

Will the trucks have 10º or 15º caster?

15 degree. Better for outdoor track conditions.
