This is what happened to me yesterday after a typical bad landing and roll over on my local track. I hope I just got bad parts and this will not happen again. Crashed like this a hundred times with my Losi, Mugen and Asso cars. Was stunned how this car handles and suprised how it broke, with just my second pack... I emailed Tekno but I live in Poland, nobody besides me run Tekno cars here so don't think they will react in any way...

wow
never saw an arm break in the middle ! and I broke dozens on various other RCs ! I will soon have a eb48.3. I will surely break some arms |
Arms break, I know, it happens. But the tower also? That's too much!

Never had an arm broke in over 2 years now. Ive put it through all sorts of abuse.
The Front shock tower is another story though .... Ive lost 3 from the exact same points always. EXACT same as where yours has broken. Comes to show their shock towers are fairly weak from the point where its broken ... I even felt like complaining directly to TEKNO as I had to buy 3 separate shock towers apart from the one i got with the kit just to keep it running. One was a crash, the other two on hard landings .... how does that even happen. Anyway, i ended up just buying new ones as I live in Pakistan and thought they wouldnt help me. But please tekno this is for you guys ... shock towers are weak from the point where shock is attached as shown in the picture. Make a note of it. Work on it. Fix it. I love the truggy overall though. Total beast and very durable. Plastics especially are super impressive. |

Just got my hands on a new ET48.3 truggy. I have searched and read every thread about which servo to get. I have always ran Savox servos in all my 1/8th scale buggies without any problems, other than being noisy. Ok, which servo do you guys recommend now. Please be specific, brand and model number, and why.
Thanks in advance |

Diff shimming is just as important as building the diff itself properly in order to have a quiet and efficiently running vehicle. Here's a couple quick tips on how to do that, and how to make it easier. Hope folks find it helpful! :)

Has anyone used VRP shock pistons with the ET48? I'm interested in trying them and wondering the hole/diameter you would recommend. I use 700/600 cst shock oil with the 6 hole (I think) with one hole glued.

The two most common motors put into the ET48 lineup are the Tekin 2000kv truggy motor and various 1900kv buggy motors. The lower kv and also the buggy motors, will have less bottom end and be easier to drive.

Question, I just bought a eb48.2 my first 1/8 ebuggy. I have the Reedy 2000kv motor in it and want to run 2s lipo with it, what gearing and suggested setup would i run on loose dirt track?

You're not going to go anywhere quickly running 2S with a 2000KV motor, that motor is designed for 4S voltage. You could gear really high but then your amp draw would murder your 2S battery. If you run 2S you need a motor with at least 4000KV.
