DEX 408T Body Mods.

That looks really good. Is that a thicker more durable body?

Txs,

A lot more durable. I had the last DEX body on for 8 meets with in between practice sessions before going for the Velcro. There is no comparison !!

Looks nice I like it.

Txs Pete. Big improvement IMO

sounds like something Tekno should look into, a thicker pull would be nice or even changes to where stuff is beefed up. I am fine with more heft on a truggy body, if I overheat because of that i got other problems :)

At this point I got a body here I am still using after shoe goo and drywall work as I am waiting to see if anything new comes out prior to painting the other new body I have.

Anyone have badlands 3.8 on desperados 0.5"? Are they sitting good?

They won't work without some dremel work I tried. The hex of the is about 2mm to deep so it runs on the carrier. You would need to dremel the wheels around the hex

Will it work if I'd put badlands on AKA wheels?

That's what I'm running and they're awesome tires. http://www.rctech.net/forum/monster-...tp-4070-a.html

These are the measurements I took.

Hex - 4.00mm
Dish wheel - 3.90mm
Desperado wheel - 4.80mm

So you'll need the +1mm offset lightened hex wheel hub set (TKR5071B). They also make a +2mm offset (TKR5071C).

Thanks a lot.
I'm thinking about putting Badlands on Proline VTR 4". Will standard hubs be ok?

Battery help please

I am reading through the thread and i am on page 186 right now but I could use some help finding some 4s batteries please.
So my kit will be here on Monday, I've got all of the bits and pieces to get her all together but the batteries that I want are not available by next Thursday. This thread has sold me on the SMC 6500 4s pack. SMC cs told me today that they will not be available in time for me. What would y'alls next choice be on an affordable, high mah 4s battery be?
Thanks in advance.

I was going to suggest the SMC. Did they say when they were getting them back in stock? I pre-ordered 2 of them about a week and a half ago. I still dont have my kit but I wont need it for another couple weeks. All I have left to get is the kit and my back-ordered SMC batts. Im not in a huge hurry to build. I know these are more expensive but these were the batts I was gonna get.

look and see if any vicous tek or Vant's are available.

The 6500s look the same.

Funny got your original post with Promatch instead of SMC lol.

I lucked out and found someone selling the 4S 7600s.

You could also if you want run 2 7800s with a male to male plug, I did that with my 7200s and it worked great.

Thanks pyromike. I'm leaning towards these; http://www.promatchracing.com/products.php?cat=40
I'm going to go with hardwired packs for sure. I don't feel comfortable with high voltage going through bullet connectors.

Cain 02-12-2015 05:08 PM

promatch 6500s should work great, and have a 1 year warranty.

I'd order if in the market, especially with chinese new year, etc.
