I think the 2000kv with a 14t pinion will be the setup for this rig.

Truggy 2250 is a beast, I had one before, lots of horsepower!
trying to figure what motor to put in the new truggy when it is released!

jhautz 07-24-2013 11:31 AM

1350, 6s, 14T

You could tell by the vid it's a high kv motor, it doesn't behave the same as a lower kv. I wouldn't go too low in kv with a tail happy car, or let's say a car that is a little loose from the rear. The torque provided by lower kv motors can be too much to handle when the track is slippery. In some (rare) cases a higher kv is better. I did quite a few testings with motors and I wouldn't use a big torque motor with a nimble car (this is what I run now and part of the reason why I'm switching for a more planted buggy). For a truggy you'll need a minimum torque of course but 2000kv should be perfect

1400 buggy motor on 6S :sneaky:

Pulse_ 07-24-2013 12:16 PM

a buggy motor is a good idea considering the ET48 should be light!

jhautz 07-24-2013 12:59 PM

True. I guess Im just used to my old xray truggy. This tekno truck should be a good bit lighter than that old tank.
