Man, it's amazing to watch how fast austin can get on the gas after a landing. The thing looked like it had a turbo kicking in as soon as it hit the ground.:tire:

It looks like it wants to lift the inside front tire a lot when cornering. Is that normal truggy behavior on a high grip track?

When it was at NorCal Hobbies for the video, it had a Tekin RX8 Gen2 in it and a Tekin T8. The desired KV/gearing for the motor was still being figured out, which would also affect ESC settings.
I think Danny mentioned previously in the thread running a 1900 kv buggy motor in his. I would guess/hope we'll see more details or suggestions after 8th scale electric nats in the beginning of next month, but don't know much other than this cool vehicle showed up at my track and I could film it for you all. :) I talked to Danny today and there are some things we're going to change on the set up. I'm sure after a few days at the track with Danny and the Tekno guys next week this thing will be more than ready. |

Like Justpoet mentioned it's currently outfitted with a Rx8 gen2 and T8 motor and a ProTek 6700 lipo. This was the first day at the track and I know Austin only ended up changing the shock oils. The motor has a lot of power and torque. We just talked to Randy at Tekin and he's sending us out some additional motors to try. For the first day out and with only a shock oil change Austin was very happy with the performance. I do know that with the RX8 and T8 motor Austin was getting over 10 minutes of run time. To some that might seem easy but for Austin it was good. When Austin arrives in Pennsylvania next week he will have many options as far as the motor/speedo is concerned. The NorCal track had nice grip and he was running some soft impacts at the time.

Damn that thing looks beastly. Lovely driving as well. Can't freaking wait! Thanks for the vid!

I really shoud get a EB48 over the ET48 so I can actually race but this might make a good BMX track basher and occasional racer when I get a chance to travel to bigger races.

I want pics, and that video is F'in awesome.:tire:

the driver is awesome, suits the nimble tekno cars perfectly
|
That has to be the most nimble Truggy I have seen.

I'd love to, but sadly I won't be there. Hopefully somebody will film the races in HD though for us to enjoy. I also hope the video is on liverc for the event. :)
This thing looks sweet wish it was a more popular class here. |
