What horn are you using?

Just by looking at the leads coming off the motor you're using way too much solder. You need to pre-tin the ends of the lead just enough to coat the exposed portion only, and you want to strip only a small portion. Otherwise you end up killing the whole purpose of flexible wire by feeding so much solder it works its way up into the wire solidifying it.

Then you must apply a small bead of solder on the motor contact points and then dip your pre-tinned leads lightly into flux and then position them onto the corresponding motor contact point and place on the soldering iron tip onto the lead to join them cleanly. You can use insulated alligator clips to hold the wires in position without feeling any heat so you can get it to set exactly where and how you prefer for a super clean install.

By looking at your setup, I'd angle the leads forward and downward slightly so they sweep forward following inside the contours of the body. Solder the same way to your ESC and you'll have a wiring job to compliment this gem.

It is a seriously sick buggy. I had problems getting my 22 2.0 to hook up at a small indoor track. I went and grabbed my brothers PR S1 and turned the fastest laptimes I have ever run in a stock buggy. There were 10 cars in my A Main. Went from dead last after getting slammed on the start to 4th overall. Losi will be getting ready to be sold. I love this buggy so much better. Well worth the change. It has the stability of the Losi with the steering I was craving from my RB6. Best of both worlds, and tuff as well.

I had an AE driver try out my buggy yesterday at the track. He is hardcore about AE being the best etc. To top it off he had never driven a mid motor car before. I was talking to him about the car and he said he wanted to try it so I let him. He was taking it easy for like 10 laps not jumping anything and moving out of people's way so I yelled you can drive it Mark it's not a B4. He laughed and finally pulled the trigger. The smile he had on the driver stand spoke for it's self. He ran 30-40 laps and was keeping up with the 4wd buggies, for the most part. I still had my motor turned up so it had more power then it needed by far so he got loose a little bit paired with his first mid motor experience. When he came back to the pits he said, "man that car is amazing. It is so smooth and jumps really well. This car is good. I think you have too much power though. I guess I'm going to have to get a B5M also" . For him to speak that highly of the car it says a lot bc I think if you cut him open he'd bleed blue and would use an AE sticker for a band-aid. The buggy is solid and fast. Like ^mcopeland said it has all the best attributes of all the cars. I have found with other cars I have said man it has traction but no steering, or it keeps popping ball cups etc. But with this car you get traction, steering, smoothness, adjustability, and durability.
