I am hearing from people that several team racers are going back to the converted Nitro 3.0? Is this true?

Nope, not at all. Some have tried there same setups as their converted cars...maybe that is where some of the confusion is from. The E specific vehicle is better than the conversion.

Has anyone compared 555 and 573 diff setups for a lightweight car(shortys and T8i) on an indoor grippy track? All I have ever used is 573(Adam Drake's indoor setup) and I'm looking to be able to carry more speed through the corners without pushing.

Timmy,
go to TLR website and all of the set-up sheets are on there. Just be careful.

I have not been able to touch my buggy for a month and half due to my work schedule but I would like to start hitting some indoor races at JCP in Indy and wanted to know if you guys recommend starting with Adam's indoor setup or the stock book setup. Also I will be running the rx8 2 with a t8i 1900 and can do either the shorty setup or 4s brick setup. One last thing, I would also like to know what gearing you guys recommend. I was thinking 16/45 but wasn't for sure. Thanks.

I run a 15t pinion and it is plenty

I would pick either one and go from there, you'll change plenty to either setup I'd guess.

I'll be at JCP tomorrow and Saturday.

I just got mine, but I went with box stock to start off with. Just changed the diff fluids tonight and am going for the 1st round of Tuesday nights tomorrow. I'm using mainly Drakes set up right now. A few differences, Don't have the green rear springs here yet so silver will do and making up for that with AE-37.5 in the rear and 40 in the front shocks. I'm running 16/43 and seem's to be plenty of power for JCP with an Orion 1950. And running brick packs.
