i added everything up at horizon prices you are looking at 400$ convert to the 8ight e 3.0 from the nitro. with that being said i just ordered a 3.0 e instead of trying to convert. and my LHS said that horizon should be getting the 8ight e 3.0 at the 27th of this month
i can't wait.
i can't wait.
I don't know about that though there was never an E dedicated truggy from Losi.... Then again they did say that were doing something different with the truggy...

The front tower-we added an inside hole for the top shock location and we moved the lower inner camber hole up a little as this is where we felt it should be for a more all around ride.
The rear tower-we added a number of roll center changing camber holes for the inner camber locations, and these are holes we tested and liked and also holes the nitro guys are drilling into their towers.

The towers both got changes and we explain them a bit in the upcoming video we are putting out. They will both fit the nitro as well.

Talked to Drake a couple days ago and he informed me the towers in the E kit are alike the nitro towers with an added inner hole on the top of the front tower and the added lower camber link holes we nitro guys have been drilling in the rear tower.

What a bunch of whiners in here.
Somebody call the Whaaaambulance.
Honestly. Losi has stuck it out pretty solid with the 2.0 platform with *minor* changes for many years now.
3.0 was a little overdue if you ask me.
Considering the growing popularity of E-buggy, it was time for a dedicated chassis layout.
I'm not a Losi diehard, but I have run them in the past. Of ALL the factory drivers out there, the TLR bunch actually runs nearly box-stock equipment. And there's no parts from other brands or one-off special made pieces. Sure, maybe some titanium turnbuckles or minor things, but they're not running aftermarket suspension holders or mixing front clips from one car, rear clips from another and shocks from another brand entirely. They run, win and support the TLR brand label and product while doing as well as they can.
You can look at other brands and say that (except or the K-guys, most others are robbing their parts bin).
As a racer, I want the best engineered, best performing kit that is going to work for me. To put everything "right" in one box is going to cost a bit more, but I'd rather pay it up front and have everything in the box than have to buy a "race" kit and throw it away and buy hop ups or aftermarket pieces to make it more durable, reliable and competitive.
So far the only thing TLR has miscalculated is the rear roll center on the nitro car. Oh well... not the first time I've had to drill a hole on an RC car. Oh wait, I don't have to now Ill just get the E tower. Btw TLR guys, you might shouldn't have etched the big laser "E" into the rear tower. Dumb move. Costs you money and looks tacky for the nitro guys now since they'll prob buy them as well.

The goal is the ship kits with parts but typically kits go out first as parts are then QC'd and find new homes in the wearhouse and they go out. On the SCTE some parts did not ship with the kits as planned for some reason. It was a mix up and not part of the "plan"
