Same here I was having to convince the kit to do what I wanted, after about 8/10 days of tinkering and trying different set ups I am totally happy with my kit. I can challenge anyone at the track now. I Have the kit doing what I want now. Heck I am probably only 25% of how good the kit is running.

We'll see how it does this weekend though. I'm feeling pretty confident with it and all the fastest in the area are coming so we will see how I/it does.

Default Overheating

Hey guys. Hoping some of you have had experience with the 2.0 buggy and can help me out a little. Finished racing yesterday and my motor Temp was 190s. Im running a Tekin RX8 gen2, T8 2050 16/45 gearing. plenty of air flow through the body. Any suggestions about where I should go to get the temps down to a safe level. The main was 10 minutes on loose dirt so that didnt help either.

Thanks

Yep...what he said. I run the same combo and with 15 tooth the car can clear the moon and comes nice and cool.

That's a the motor/esc and gearing I run as well. I'm usually @150 on my esc and 160-165 on my motor after a 10 min run. I would say your fine. Just stay away from 180 degrees.

Good luck looking forward to reading your results. We have a trophy race this weekend and hopefully getting at least a podium.

Great racing at the 2014 Hank Perry 240, NCT #2! Managed to put the TLR 8-E 3.0 on the podium with fellow Tekin team mate/HB Driver Nick Buechler in 2nd and fellow Tekin employee/HB driver Jeremy Potter taking the TQ and win.

Car was insanely good, qualified in 3rd and finished up third. Had an intense A2 main! That mogul field in the center was a killer, hard to be consistent through it.

Here's mah setup I ran, tried to remember all of it off the top of my head. Can't remember droop/shock length, I'll have to look. It's whatever Martin Harrison told me at Nationals
