Hey guys...i anyone here running a 2 pole motor? I just killed my 4 pole revtech and looking for something else...I was going to go with a 4 pole Hobby Wing, but saw they offered a 2 pole motor. I hear they are smoother and easier to get power down with, but how much and i going to lose going from 4 to 2 poles?

If you go 2 pole you will want to make sure you get a 550 motor. Yes they are smoother on the bottom end and can be a little stronger on the top end. They respond better to timing advance as well if you like tuning with your ESC.

I prefer the short can 4 pole. Saves some weight on the truck and tons of power. Bottom end is not over powering as you can do with a long can 4 pole and just a overall good motor. 2 pole are great of large 8th scale open tracks though.

I use the Novak 4.5. It runs excellent in the truck. It can be tuned using the esc very well for a variety of tracks.

I wonder where I can get the Orion 550 4.0T that Dakotah runs? I searched everywhere. I'm guessing they don't make it any more.

These work good http://www.falconsekido.com/products...ished-xrsct-bk I've got a couple. Work great. They actually appear to be new units sealed in the package when you get them.

Can someone tell me if there's any other option available for getting these shock O-rings? http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...ld-Set-2-Ten-T

And are these the correct rod ends for the 2.0 or is the plastic different? http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...d-Set-15-Ten-T

I would highly recommend a 1/8 scale ESC, like the Viper VTX8 or Tekin RX8. Might save you trouble (and $$) in the long run.

What do you guys think of running an Orion R10.1 esc in the TLR SCTE 2.0 with a tekkie 4600 motor? Is that pushing my luck? Or should it hold up well?
