Is there a noticeable difference in handling from mounting the ESC inline like that? I am considering doing that with my Tekin RS when my .2 gets here.

If not, I may just do it to get the ESC off the chassis. I've only been racing for a year or so and occasionally case a jump, and I always cringe at the thought of destroying my ESC because of a cased jump. (chassis mounted esc) If moving the esc off the chassis saves me one ESC, then it may be worth it if nothing else. Thoughts? Am I too paranoid?

lol

(oh and I'm sure it's been posted before, but where can I get all black servo/rx wires from?)
^^ Nevermind, my lazy ass searched

Use a black sharpie to make the wires black. That's a standard procedure right there.

The placement of Cav's speedo in his B4.2 reminds me of my gold tub RC10. Before there were electronic speedos, resistor speedos were located in the RC10 right about where Cav mounted his speedo. And once electronic speedos became available, most people mounted them on their rear shock towers.

Thanks.

But moree importantly, why does it feel like the lipo cells are shaking around inside the actual hardcase?

I put the ESC inside the battery tunnel and did not like it. I probably didn't give it enough time and maybe the buggy does better with it "on top" of the battery? Now that I have my truck running I will give it another try. And I will use the mounting method I saw in the .1 thread.

Do you have a link to the method you are suggesting? I did a search, but I am not sure I found the one you are suggesting.

Thanks,
JB
