yeah, i know. but your just crushing my hopes and dreams...
|
well hopefully they keep the front and rear ends and just design a new chassis and offer a conversion. Im willing it bet it wont be to much different. I mean they just released the sc10.2 and t4.2. I cant see them making changes to them in a year
|
they'll definitely have to redesign the rear gearbox and a make a new steering rack if they want it to bee roar legal with standardsize servos. with lowprofile, it would be possible to keep the old steeringrack, be roar legal and still have the same wheelbase as the "old" b4.2

i thought you must be able to fit in a standard sized side-by-side lipo to make it roar legal?

:( I like the composite chassis, one of the last ones left here. I like it more then my rb6

Keep the B4 and distribute the Centro C4.2 kit...DONE!

I'm sure they have been working on a car like the 22 and RB6 that can be either mid or rear motor mount. with the sugar coated tracks gaining popularity I'm guessing the new release of whatever has been pushed forward. With the big races adding the sugar, I am sure the local club tracks will be soon to follow. Who knows if the trend will continue but for now the trend is going to force all the main players to get their mid motors out on the table. It shall be interesting that is for sure.

If that happens, the demise of those tracks will soon follow. 8 minutes and your tires are toast. I'll never race a sugar track again. I'm just not a baller like that.

my issue is all the companies now are building kits for super high traction tracks. Most of us do not have these types of tracks and most of ours are medium traction at best. But most are outdoor dusty low traction tracks.

For those who don't want to see AE go the way of an aluminum chassis..... you're going to be disappointed.

I hope the B5 takes off were the Yokomo left off. The Yokomo is a basically a B4 with better parts quality. Hopefully the design spacesout the tie rods and shock springs. All this mid motor talk really only came up cause they were forcerced to use sugar for the worlds warm up. IMO if A-main actually ran 1/10th scale club races instead of a zillion 8th scale races they would have been better prepared for the warm up. The 8th scale nationals and worlds aren't being held there. Oh well.....rear motor B5 for me
|
Well that stinks...just bought new shock towers for my .2ed B4.1wc and the Lusford Ti BB shock standoffs aren't the right fit on the front since AE thickened the tower to eliminate the need for spacers. Went back to the old tower but that only lasts until it breaks.

If they feel obligated to produce a mid- motor chassis, then design it as RM first and then offer a Centro style chassis conversion as a separate kit.
|
Love Associated so if it will go faster, I will buy it.
I think they should have two versions MM and RM. Makes more sense for market share if most of the parts interchange. |
