Thanks. I never thought about drilling slots. I'll do them when I do the rebuild for the fall/winter indoor season.

Expandable braided sleeving. It was left over from my pc building days. I bought it here: https://www.parts-express.com/cat/ex...-sleeving/2193 I'm sure you can get it in shorter leghts at other electronic supply houses.

Thanks

What size braid did u get for that.

I used 1/4"...I think. I've had the braid laying around for 4 years. The 1/4" is expandable from 1/8"-7/16". 12ga wire is only 3/16" in diameter. You have to use black wire otherwise you'll see the color through the braid. I used TQ Wire's 1296 strands bare copper 13ga wire.

Either way, doesn't matter. There are enough of us here with a good amount of hands-on experience with the ESC to provide a better and more direct answer than in the SP forum as he questioning how it would fare with a B4.2 specifically.

You also have to take into consideration how many of those failures are because the person was using the component outside of the intended parameters. You have to remember, the less expensive stuff is usually purchased by people that are just getting into the hobby; people who may not understand why the manufacture set forth these limitations.

In addition, you have to take into consideration other outside forces causing failures. For example I had a receiver, that over the course of 3 years, took out 3 of the expensive Speed Passion escs, 2 Tekin RS Pros, and a Murf Dogg 10.5. It finally took 2 of the same model Speed Passion escs failing two weekends in a row to put the pieces together. Thing is though, I never said a single bad thing about any of the failures (minus the receiver). How many other people would have a.) never figured out why those escs and motor failed. And b.) complained that they were crappy products.

I'm a straightforward person, if I don't know something, I keep my mouth shut. Same cannot be said for a lot of people here.

Detailed Part Description:

Includes 2.85, 3.00, 3.15 rate springs.

Team Associated's new Factory Team 12mm springs offer top level quality and precision by design. Through rigorous testing our engineers found that a spring with more coils for a given spring rate improves rate tolerances, and proved to be better on the track. The springs are also black oxide coated to reduce corrosion without affecting rate tolerances.

Available in two universal lengths. By using different offset spring cups, you can obtain your desired ride height on all platforms with the same front or rear springs (No more truck and buggy sizes).

Yes, springs are the same, but shocks are not. Truck and buggy shocks have different length shock shafts. A guy from our club followed your logic and bought "just a set", his B4 looked really weird with crazy amount of droop.

Well yeah... EXCEPT that the question he was answering was specifically about big bore spring sets! Not about the shock kits.

Like aeRAYLS said the question i answered was if there were differant sized springs for the truck and buggy, and there is not. Just one set for front, one set for rear which are shared by the stadium truck, 4wd buggy, 2wd buggy, and 2wd sc.

I fully understand what you are saying but I don't think a noob would be inquiring on the higher end stuff because as you mentioned, they'd likely not be willing to spend as much as the serious racer/enthusiast.

In this case perhaps the question was a bit generalized (though still not wrong to pose the question in here) and should have been more of a comparison variety, questioning which high-end ESC would be the best option to suit their specific needs. i.e. RS Pro vs Reventon Pro vs Orion vs Novak vs whatever. With so many countless B4 owners on here we should be able to help a person determine what is right for their needs and better suits their budget..

How much Gurney do you guys normally run on your wings? I've got a couple brand new JC Hi-Clearance wings and I'm not sure where to run them.
