Ran my new B4.2 FT for the first time Saturday in the opening round of my local track's "SUPER 7 POINTS SERIES" and finished second. Setup was pretty close to the Steve Hartson Motorama setup on the AE website. Love my B4.2 so far.

I got setup help from a local guy, who runs the 3.5 in his. So I changed it.
I wanted to see if some front toe out would help. I guess I went the wrong way. Oops. So should I go back to 0* front toe then? |
yeah, Javier told me he didnt show till saturday. I dont know why he came at all if he was going to put in no effort. I am pulling for Hartson and Maifield in the worlds. I like Maifield's paint job better than Cav's anyway, lol.

Yeah, when I ran the 1.6's I ran either 32.5/30 or 30/27.5

what will the longer link in the rear do again?
|
What will switching to 0 degrees front camber do?
How about 0 rear? |
It's all about contact patch and traction. which in turn depends on your roll center and camber gain settings.

One of the kcar's went back to rear motor today...
they say mid is where its at and keep switching back to rear. |
They say the X car was built for US dirt track mid motor. There are a few locals that swear by the X cars, but everyone that tried Mid motor durango, Losi, K car or anything besides X car, hated it. I think one guy ran the Shumacher Mid and said it was ok. But in general, RM for the US is best. It seems motors run much hotter in a MM config also, because the body reduces motor airflow. You can always ventilate the body though.

XFactory seemed to do well enough with the mid motor setup to win a National title with it ... ;)
When did they win a national? |
The cars with the option of mid motor versus rear motor from what I have seen definitely needed a more high traction surface to get the most out of them which looking at what WC runs on compared to what I run on during the summer, its interesting that they are switching back.
But maybe that is where xfactory has it right, a design that is designed from the ground up as pure mid motor versus one that converts from one to the other.

Overseas no USA, sorry if I gave that impression. A good reflection on AE as for all the platforms out there, they previous squared buggy used the B4 as a base. |

I'll say this: thy do mid motor like no one else... Period! They have it figured out. That car in mid has a ton of grip and steering. It has absolutely everything to do with the fact it's not a convertible car. |
