And I was only 2 seconds behind them for 3rd. Top three for tekno at the boneyard.

I think you answered your own question. Yes, that could make a big difference.

Dangit, I'll have to order a new one! But could I still run it it'll just spray out diff fluid until I get the new one? I'm running a Pro4 4600 on a 14t.

i am running the 411 sensored tenshock and i find it to be an excellent motor. it performs as well or better than the tekin sc 4.5 i took out and doesn't puff my batteries like the tekin.....

anyone hear from Hitec how much of a speed and torque increase you see on the 7955tG servo on 7.4V? I know they have said it can work on that voltage, just curious what it specs at then.

Should be the same as the 7954, 403oz/in and .12sec/60.

Anyone having problems with the carbon rear shock tower ? I just put the Tekno tower on my truck and after the first run noticed a small crack in it by the diff case . I didn't take a bad crash in the heat race I was in , so I'm not sure what would have caused this . Could it be just a flaw in the tower ?

Is your body intact?
All the carbon rears seem to brake in some situations. Especially the TSR one. Mine had small blemishes from start. The Tekno looked at least better finished. On the SCTE towers lasted me almost two years.

Im not sure that a small rip would be that bad, are you sure you had the spur seated flush on the diff case? Like i said you may have just over filled, my first time out a little came out and looked like a spider web on the white composite spur but it was just extra. ive rebuilt it many times since and havent had an issue.

Did you do like I suggested and clean it all off and go for another run?

I run the 4600 and I don't have a bad thing to say about it. All the power and it runs cool. Give it a shot and see how you like it.

I'm in the slow process of getting my new SCT410 assembled. I've been reading about people having issues with the center diff leaking. Is there any way to know if I got one of the bad center diff cases without getting it all together, running it and see if it leaks? I don't have the center diff installed yet. Should I tear the center diff down and sand the face of the diff case before I get it installed? Just to be on the safe side?
I purchased my kit from another member on the forum. It was a brand new, factory sealed kit. He told me that he purchased it in July of this year.

I would rather take care of the issue before I get it all together and ready to run. If I have a possible leaker.....

Thanks in advance for your help!

just make sure the diff case is flat and use a new gasket. Other than that, 90% of it is caused by over filling whether admitted or not. The center diff probably gets more abuse than either front or rear and so it heats up more, which will cause pressure and squeeze out extra fluid. Not a biggie. Once it is tightened down, the threads of the case tend to "stretch" a bit. sand the pull areas smooth next time.

I haven't had a problem with any of my diffs, just did it by the book.

On my RC8 the diff housings are sometimes not perfect all the way around. When you put them on a flat surface and get eye level when the cup meets the surface you will sometimes see small gaps between the diff cup and table. If it's not real bad you can fix with an extra gasket, or you can put some sandpaper on the table and sand down the diff case in a circular motion until all the gaps are gone.

Like I said, never seen with the Tekno, but could see how it could happen with any plastic mold.
