because it has sat up for a year with only 3 race days on it! It was a beast and had all of the toys on it! Please TEKNO, when u make a 4wd buggy, make it as awesome as the other kits! Just sprinkle some shrinking dust on the eb48.2 and make it 1/10 scale size, and BAM, ANOTHER top in class Platform then the 2sc and same thing...

+1

What tires do some of you guys recommend for hard-packed smooth indoor tracks? I've been out of the off-road game for awhile. I've ordered my kit and electronics. Just trying to settle of wheels/tires and a body. What do you guys think of AVID wheels? Thanks!

Yea, see what some of the locals are running would be best, especially depending on dirt mixture. Is it pure clay or a mixture with some topsoil??

For topsoil mixture and even some clay tracks I've found that HB Beams, HB Megabites and AKA Wishbones are pretty good starting points and decent tires to have in the arsenal.

On the wheels, Losi scte rims seem to be the most widely used but I just picked up the DE Borrego 12mm rims and the inner webbing cleared fine and the 17mm version used on my Mugen sct has months on them and their still close to true... certainly no cracks or anything like that. They are more true than any other rims I've run for the given time period.

If your not against a dish wheel, that's what I'd recommend.

And to all... I conceded to defeat on the 17mm hex until my buddy finishes machining a set for me. Then the 17's go back on :tire: The plastic spacer for the Tekno hex's lasted me about a pack before they quit so their out for now.

Tires are more of a question you want to ask locals at your track, as far as rims I have used DE Trinidads, DE Borregos(don't like dish for sc but that's all they had), next set is avid sabertooths...none of these needed dremeling or anything and all in scte offset

I know ofna makes a set of hexes that fit a 6mm axle. They should work with the tekno axles for the eb48sl.

I just picked up an SCT410 so I'm excited to be a member of the club. I have never raced before but it looks very tempting, but I'll probably just get acquainted with my Tekno a little before I jump in.

Quick question on motor choice. Reading up as much as I can on the Pro4 HD 4300, but can anyone with that combo chime in. I have a Pro4 4600 I just pulled out of an exo but tempted to switch it up.

Thanks!

YEa it just has a bit more power but no ROAR legal which it sounds like you don't care. I run the pro4600 now tho Cus I race. Honestly wouldn't spend a bunch of $ for such a small difference.

Anyone having problems with the carbon rear shock tower ? I just put the Tekno tower on my truck and after the first run noticed a small crack in it by the diff case . I didn't take a bad crash in the heat race I was in , so I'm not sure what would have caused this . Could it be just a flaw in the tower ?

Mine snapped clean during a qualifier. Was totally my fault, but it sucks that i dnf'd.
I'd recommend sticking with stock and replace when it gets a little bent.

All the carbon rears seem to brake in some situations. Especially the TSR one. Mine had small blemishes from start. The Tekno looked at least better finished. On the SCTE towers lasted me almost two years.

Same experience here. The scte's carbons i never had an issue and i drove way worse then. I think the tekno's are mounted a little higher on the truck which causes them to snap easier.

I really like mine. All i run on this truck. A little flexy, but nothing that isn't comparable to other wheels on the market.
