I'm confused as to why you posted this. His feedback as of now is +5 100%. Do you have a bone to pick with him? I read the thread, but you aren't involved so why post?

for the same reason you posted your post (you aren't involved either).

Whay are you waiting for? Go full tekno and don't look back.:D You're already halfway there.:sneaky:

I know... Right now, I'm just about as fast w/my scte as my EB tho.. I know the Tekno's are built better but want to get the tune down on one at a time. My EB is getting close but I'm going to lighten the diffs up because 7/10/5 is real sketchy in the bumpy/jump corners.

It's perfectly understandable to keep a vehicle if it works for you. Parts compatability is the reason i was getting at to switch. The Eb and sct share a ton of parts which cuts a lot of cost of switching. If your scte is fast, it makes total sense to keep it.

Huh? Are you just trying to get him to notice the pm's the mods sent him? If that's the case then i understand. Better to warn him than to add another to the banned wagon.

don't know the guy, just saw the thread in the feedback section and recognized the name from this thread. i don't like people who scam our community and i also don't like when people get accused of it when it's not the case. i just wanted to make sure he sees it and posts his side of the story either way.

that ok with you chief?

I was just curious as to why. And yes, chief catbox approves.:D

I issued a refund like I said I would. The 3rd party store I used normally gives me an email with tracking information but not this time. They lost the number so I end up loosing my ESC/Programmer and $50.

ok, but i'd still go to that thread and explain that. otherwise people will assume you stiffed the guy.

sorry to hear about the shipping snafu.

and your pics look awesome. high quality action shots are awesome. i wish there was always someone at club races doing that! i've only been to one race where there was a pro photographer and he got some great shots.

Tekno RC's Curtis Door takes a TQ win at the JConcepts' Summer Indoor Nationals

The JConcepts's Summer Indoor Nationals took place at the Outback Raceway in Chico, CA this past weekend. There was an awesome turnout for all classes including the PRO4 Short Course. Tekno RC Driver Curtis Door had a great race with his Tekno SCT410. Curtis was the Top Qualifier and pulled out a strong win for the Tekno team. In the main event, Curtis had a hard battle for the lead swapping positions with MIP's Matt Olson 4 times throughout the race. This was a solid win for Tekno RC and Curtis Door. Thanks to everyone who came out for this great event.

Thats definitely a solid drive if he beat Matt... I got to witness him in action a few weeks back at the Short Course showdown and he was just nasty! Props to Curtis!!

A lot of talk about springs lately and I just want to point out that every manufacture rates their springs differently. For example, if Kyosho states the spring rate as 4.00 and Tekno states 4.1.... that doesn't mean the Tekno spring is stiffer (they don't measure using the same machine or guideline).

Keep spring rates to the manufacture/make and only use the numbers as a guideline to compare. I personally use Kyosho Orange/Orange and tune with light blue front and rear yellows (because I had access and loved them, not they're better/worst than brand X).

Not wrong, but they do go by length, so you have to double check length and spring rate. For the most part when buying spring, I'm usually goingby Rate and then Length

I have but it's not really a SCT410 issue, it's more deans / electrical issue. Mine came off a couple weeks ago, after checking the deans plug noticed it was dirty (black) inside the plugs and started creating resistance or heat at the solder joint.

Another issue might be if a bad solder joint, such as a cold joint.

I have had that issue on mine and also on my sons losi, got rid of the deans and went to bullets and haven't had the problem since. I think with any of them you just have to keep them clean.

Do not get the associated its a pos the tekno is way better just run it box stock.

Wouldn't call the AE a POS, they just went one direction and the class went another. Still a very capable truck on tight indoor high-bite and can run decent outdoors with enough mods. but doing it all over again I would look strongly at the Tekno. It's in my cart right now, just waiting for me to pull the trigger.
