Looked at it and just can't figure out how to match them up. The Koyosho orange has a rate that's higher (3.4) than any tekno spring. I was using a pink Tekno rear. Are all the Koyoshos that much stiffer?

Thanks for the help

Yes it is stiffer than any of the Tekno springs.

Doing a slight rebuild from 3 months of hard racing and practice on an indoor med/high bite track.
With our "past" vehicles I would've gone through multiple sets of bearings, cvd's (due to pin wear), turnbuckle ends getting sloppy, etc etc etc.
All I'm finding here is the rear outdrives starting to wear!!
The bearings are perfect, the cvds have no slop, the fluids are still fresh!!
I guess this is what happens when you design a vehicle with 1/8 scale mechanicals and apply 1/10 power to it. Makes all that other stuff look so much like toys. Not having to always be so worried about keeping the truck "fresh" allows us to focus more on driving/setup/etc.
I know this has yet to be mentioned in 800+ pages of this forum so ill say it now--Thanks Tekno for building us a awesome truck!!!! ;)
(Obviously kidding......)

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned this but curtis door beat mip driver matt olsen today at the jconcepts race. His car looked very good and he is sure one hell of a good driver!

Teknos new servo saver spring is 20mm vs 14.5mm. Old one could be a little sacked out do to having it tighter then 3.5mm around 6mm.

Hi guys , just want to share some thoughts; here is mine, I finished yesterday, and today she hit the track for the first time, I plan to use it for the short course nationals in my country next weekend. We run on mid size - outdoor very losy tracks (2), one of them very fast, the other one very bumpy, here everything moves around 1/8 nitro buggy seconded by electric 1/8 (which I love and run most of the time) but short course is getting momentum.

So my first impression is !!awesome machine!!, and the Rx8/4300HD couple is a rocket, big doubles, and large triples, that the nitros have to take with lot of momentum, just a point and shoot with this beast, she almost feels like my electric buggy. I started conservative with my gearing (15) because she needs to do long mains (10 mins - 15mins) over these kind of tracks. After my first test, I just need to work on the rear, it is too lose with the stock setup.

Trying adding 10% push control on the rx8 lighten rear sway bar and the +1.5 rear hinge pin

You can always run the front springs on the rear if you want. I'm currently running Tekno white fronts on the rear of my truck and it's working fine.

Simple Green and a towel so you can clean it after you win, that's it! :)

Honestly the only thing I have seen any local guy break on the truck is a shock shaft and that was a crazy hard crash.

AlderBoy 07-15-2013 03:14 AM

Actually, correction I think aluminum hinge pin holders all around is a good idea. I just remembered I actually broke a stock rear one in a big crash. Since I put aluminum ones on not a single break on anything. That was long enough ago I almost forgot.

RavensNightFury 07-15-2013 03:39 AM

that's good to know as any day now my sct should get here I wast too plz about the tlr scte 2.0 good handle and all but rear brace breaks alot

AlderBoy 07-15-2013 04:03 AM

Yeah, if anything breaks on the Tekno you are doing something wrong, or someone else hit you crazy hard.

Can't wait to hear what you think after building your kit, coming right from the 2.0...

You won't be disappointed, in my opinion, it's the only 1/10 4x4SCT to be considered.
