Hmmmmmm-I think so--obviously the front mount wouldn't be a problem but you'd probably have to do a bit of modifying to the rear mount. I think you'd mainly need to shorten the inner side and drill a new hole probably as close the center post as possible-(this will allow the proper clearance for the diff assy) and then you could leave the outer side the current length but would need to drill a new hole as close as possible to the center post because if you look underneath at the frame it tapers in so if you don't relocate the outer hole you'd only be mounting that side through plastic which I think wouldn't be too good.
Hopefully you'll be first to present a version "2.0" for a modded tray!! LOL
Oh-also-because my version has the rear mount sitting on metal (the inner part) and the outer part sitting on plastic I put a 2mm spacer on the inner side (the side on the metal) so the mount would sit level--sorry--hopefully that all makes sense

Hey guys I posted about this in the EB48 thread so I'll put it in here also. If you guys would like to see a split center diff please say so in this thread. Most of us are not running mech brakes, so I think this would be a great idea to have tekno make us a split center diff as an option part. Also with three new cars coming this fall, and some of us like me will be running them all having 5 cars with split diff is gonna be a life saver. So in the end if you want a split diff, say so.

Where did you get the graphite center brace?

I put 2 layer's on the esc one on top of the other seems to work. That crazy about the motor mount sometimes my screw's get so tight I have to use a wrench on my hex driver to get the screw's loose.

Ill try that esc thing, thanks! I guess I'm not using enough thread lock on the top. But does the bottom screw help secure the motor mount from sliding away from the spur? If so I feel like a idiot. But stuff happens to the best of us

Yes sir there is a small hole in the mudguard so you can tighten the bottom screw . I don't use loc-tite never had my motor come loose.

Question for you all. I have a PRO4 HD motor and am getting some pretty high temps on short runs. Adjusting the pinion down to a 15 puts it in the range around 150 (which is fine) but the owner was asking me about the timing I am using and.....well....I don't know much about that. He suggested it may help with temps and also improve run times (currently about 12-15 min on a 6000mah lipo) Im not racing hardcore just running on an outdoor med-loose dirt track.

I am using a Castle MMP ESC (RX8 going in for service).

I know runtime with a HD motor and a heavy truck is never going to be GREAT.

Question is, what timing should I be using for the PRO4 HD 4300?

I am guessing that the MMP is not a very high amp ESC.......would the Mamba Monster (happen to have one) be a better bet for now?

With a rx8 and hd motor with a 17t I'm at about 150-160.

I understand some people are moving the battery pack back, does anyone have a picture this setup?

Just put it at 0. The 4 pole motors dont like timing very much and it doesnt make that much power. 15T should be about right for small/medium tracks. I am assuming you are talking about motor temps not ESC but the MMP has a notably weak internal BEC and depending on your servo it can also create some issues for the MMP. I have moved away from my MMP for a HW SCT-Pro, cheaper and better.

Well yesterday got to run the SCT410 on one of the local tracks that finally had season opener. The track kindof had a Euro "dead" grass/dirt feel since it still had some dead grass on it, but surprisingly the layout and jumps were fairly smooth, for not having any work done to them. By the end of racing, most of the dead grass areas were down to dirt.

The SCT410 handled everything soo smooth and sweet and was nice ot see how planted it was on a somewhat rough track, since there were grass spots and dirt spots... LOL Also I'm still liking the 7-7-4 for the diffs. This coming weekend I have a trophy race so we'll see how things go, on the new layout and there will definately be a few Teknos there on hand.

It was also freakin Hot & very humid yesterday and with the HW combo the ESC never got hotter then 115-120* and the HW 4700 never got over 130*
