Were still trying different tuning options but right now I have the diffs at 7-7-3 and shocks are 35 front and 25 rear.

Personally I would stock up on 7, 5 and 3k diff oils and 22.5 to 37.5 shock oils just to have a selection for tuning.

People have been pre-ordering for weeks now. You might not even get a first release batch truck, as all the existing pre-orders might not get filled. Might as well pre-order from everywhere, and take the first one that notifies you a kit is available. Then cancel or ignore the later pre-orders.

If you want the cheapest use tower with the $50 off coupon. I course at this point they might also be the slowest. If you want it quick i would suggest calling and asking how large the waiting list is. Try towerhobbies, amain, rpphobby, stormerhobbies, etc.

You got me...lurking away for news nuggets on this bad boy! I have one on pre-order from Chuck. I'll definitely be hitting some races this next year.

Oh yeah I forgot, I live in Missoura now. Hopefully that truck will get released a little earlier than expected, sometime in early Jan. I'll have it out as soon as it shows up. It will be nice on the outdoor track for sure....

Glad to see you here, hoping we can have a consistent class on the outdoor track. Hopefully Chuch will carry a few parts for the truck. But honestly I dont' think I'll need anything. If I've stopped breaking the durango, then I should be fine w/ this beast......... What motor you gonna run?

+1 i make all my purchases over $150 from my local hobbyshop. I know some of you don't have this option so you have to order online, kind of like how i don't have and indoor offroad track in my area, forcing me to run onroad all winter:rolleyes:.

One reason I stopped last summer was because there was one d-bag who was there every week and would bitch and moan all day about how the 4x4 SCT trucks sucked...he'd even bitch in the middle of the race on the driver's stand. In talking to some of the other guys, he was ruining the fun for everyone else too. Several of talked to him and told him to find a class he liked or at least shut his pie-hole. If I want to hear someone bitch and moan I'll stay home and talk to my wife ;)

Since you're the set-up expert, I'll be looking to you for advise on setup. I have a Castle 1410 that I was hoping to run, but I'm afraid it might not handle the the weight of the truck. I know it's frowned on by the hard-core racers, but they've always worked for me, and I'm far from a racer...more like the guy who likes to drive around the track and try not get in other people's way.

My local hobby shop has a rx8 for 249.99 and tax will push it to 265.00! Is my LHS trying to support the hobby with those prices? Lol
