lol. So for the AE wheels, need to make sure and use the stock offset hexes with the AE wheels then.

So it's still indoor season here in Oklahoma , I run indoors on a very small concrete track box setup all I changed was shock fluid 60fr and 45r and minor moves on the camber links for roll . This thing is outstanding without changing springs or sways it can turn in and take a lane from anything only prob is there are only 3 or 4 small jumps and it has a severe nosedive any advice on that ride height is as low as it can go and I took a lot of droop out of fr and rear my guess is its tail slapping any suggestions ?
One other think I'm running a mamba max pro with a tekin 4600 and its cookin lipos makin them swell I've gone down to an 11 tooth pinion givin up a lot of speed but batts aren't cookin any advice there ? The main thing is I'd rather drive my nose divin tekno any day over driving my money pit MIP losi .... Just sayin Great product mr Tekno , very pleased can't wait for outdoor season here in Oklahoma ! |
Is there a eta at all on towers next batch?

So here's the deal. When I stopped running my SCTE at the end of the summer, it was running like crap. Combination of a bad setup and I think just having some worn parts causing excessive slop. Comparing the tekno to when I had my SCTE pretty dialed I would say that my tekno is at least as good and that's 10 or so packs into its life with little tuning. So it's hard to compare them at this point. I can tell you this, I'm really happy with the tekno and I'm glad I made the switch.
As for the loose rear...IMO the only spot where I see it occasionally is the rear end walking out a bit at the end of the straight. I'm not going to be the guy who changes his setup to address one part of the track. I love the way the truck rotates off power so I'm hesitant to try and lock that rear end down. If anything, I might try going to 4K in the rear diff, but again, the truck feels great on 90% of the track. I don't want to change that. |

stiffer springs I am thinking as well to resist chassis slap. The hot bodies ones work well, AE front RC8 springs work well on the rear too as their length is 70mm. Wish I could have gotten to the track last night to try the setup I put on (hot bodies greys front (60mm ones) and rear (76mm ones I think)) .
Thanks I was thinkin that springs would prob do the trick what lipos specifically are you using? May be time for some new ones. |
Shawn, I drove Horvats the first day he had it out and man that thing was great. I am in the process of freeing up some "rc capital" so I can get one later in the season.

Glad you like your truck. To help with the nose diving, make sure your drag break is off and try adjusting your ride height (rear might be too high) and drop (front might be to low). |

Do you put them in lip storage when not in use, also, what is you lvc set at on your ESC?
+1 For mine (IP 7200mah 80Cs) I am using 3.4V per cell based on what I saw on promatch's site where I got the lipos from. |

Is battery position adjustable on the tekno? About how much? You could try moving the battery back. Also you could try losing a bit of speed before the jump so you are back on the throttle on take off to help keep you level. More throttle in the air will also help level you out. Thicker oil in the back will reduce the rebound off the shock off the jump with may be causing the rear end to pogo, but I think your weights are thicker than box stock.
