Anyhow, I was obviously at the bottom of the list, and appears I got mine before people who were at the top? That's certainly something to complain to them about....FYI there's a VIP $100 off coupon code, if you aren't a VIP, you could probably talk them into the additional discount for being passed up on the backorder list. Depends how good you are at negotiating though :)

Sweet, glad you scored. Tower is obviously not filling orders as they came in, I think it depends on the time of order and more importantly, where you live..... A main here I come........

What a great night of racing at SDRC last night! You know you are at Tekno's home track when there is nothing but Tekno trucks in the Pro 4 class. Ten trucks in Pro 4 and several more in the Sportsman Class.

I wanted to chime in on some of the later topics on the thread. I had a loose rear end on the truck as well as others. There were several key things that I think helped my truck. As mentioned before, hubs full forward helped, putting more weight over the rear tires helped with traction. Moving my battery all the way to the rear in the tray, again moving weight distribution towards the rear. Lastly, dropping the inner/rear camber link from the 2 hole to the 3 hole. This allowed the rear end to roll more and not break traction too soon.

There are some other things I would recommend if you are still having rear end issues. I haven't tried these ideas but in theory I think they would work. One, try the lighter sway bar in the rear; swap the stock sway bars or buy some of the optional lighter ones. Also, you can try moving the rear/outer camber link to it's longest position.

For the people on the fence about purchasing the truck or just want to know. I think the only options that you should get for the truck to make it durable enough for racing are the aluminum wheel hexes and an aluminum servo horn. Just two parts and you have a highly competitive truck, everything else is just tuning options or added durability.

Loving this truck right now, the Tekno vehicles are definitely my favorite things to drive right now...:)

any advice on the battery straps lol do i need to turn them the other way to deal with the overhang or is this normal?

seen a few people even on the eb48 cut part of the strap ends so they are not so long. If the straps are exactly the same as included with the eb48, they are most likely long for a 2S pack and you would want them a tad shorter.

Hopefully, the "looseness" can be tamed easily. I still have nightmares about my sc10 4x4. I dont find a little slide in the rear if it can be removed by applying power.

Are there aluminum 12mm hexes available for the SCT410 that don't require any modification? Does Tekno make that upgrade, or will other after-market hexes work that are made for other vehicles?

Anyone tried the EB48 rear a-arm mud guards on the truck yet to see if they will fit?

They fit if you dremmel about .5" off the inside. Otherwise they rub the wheel and hit the lower shock nut.

I just taped a line parallel to the edge, cut straight with Dremmel cutoff wheel, rounded corners and cleaned up edges with Dremmel sanding wheel, then finished by hand-sanding with 500 grit, 1000 grit, then finished with emery cloth, and finally a lighter to blend it.

Now that it's dirty it doesn't look like I did a good job lol. But it's functional at least.

It does come with shock boots. I haven't seen any axle boots for it. Because of the way the rear CVDs are captured by the bearing I don't see a way to run axle boots on it anyway.
