There is no new bumper for the SC, its for modding the front of the buggy so you don't need to have a front skid plate. As for the servo saver, there is no new part there either. There has been a bad batch of new parts that made it out the door, and have been showing up in kits.

Has anyone tried to use hobby peoples web site. Their shopping cart has had errors now for 2 weeks. Been trying to get an Airtronics gear set for my servo and I keep getting the error "unable to set payment method" on check out. If I try paypal it says "invalid token" same errors with IE and Chrome. I called them 2 weeks ago they said they would email me when fixed so I tried once last week no luck and now this week. Wish someone else carried Airtronics parts

Have you tried either Amain or Tower Hobbies?

They seem to be the flagship store for airtronics.(which I will not purchase anymore) , Tower has very limited Sanwa stuff, no gear sets or parts really at Amain. Their quality has gone down and price way up. 100 bucks for a receiver that's as delicate as an egg. Servo's break easily now it seams. I didn't even hit anything this time just locked going around a corner. Now parts are getting harder to get.

new buyer

Just ordered my tekno SCT 410 can anyone give me advice on products to buy or replace as I build it. Racing on a tight indoor clay track. Thought about cf shock towers and LW chassis. Any help is appreciated.

aluminum hexes and the alloy servo horn are popular for durability.

Personally, I'd give it a go with the durability options mentioned and see what you think initially, other tahn some common setup things like springs, pistons, etc.

For those who asked I sent out the carpet setup. Please improve it and post back what you find.

Got my latest one ready to go minus my servo extension and transponder. The truck came with a lot of upgrades already installed which was nice. Carbon towers, aluminum clamping wheel hexes, alloy bleeder shock caps, aluminum screws, aluminum ackerman, lightened outdrives on center and rear diffs, lightened motor mount, HD servo saver spring, aluminum servo horn.etc.. I have a feeling I'm going to hold on to this truck for a while.

I put a new trackstar 550 motor and trackstar gen II esc in it and going to see how that combo feels. If all else fails I'll go to the tried and true tekin sct motors or a hw 4700 if I don't like the trackstar 550 2 pole.

fyi... for people who don't want servos that they have to use an extension with, the XP DS1015 has a wire long enough to get to into the rx box without an extension.

my hitec 7954sh was long enough too, had a little trouble getting definitive info on the spline size of the hitec though. Found a site that said they have a new 25t spline but not for which servo, but most said 24.. I ordered the tekno 24t clamping horn and it fit great

I will let you know how it works out. For some strange reason the setup sheet shows up blank on my ipad. Maybe I need to open it on a pc

I noticed that sometimes they don't load right or doesn't load fully. something about a character set issue with the adobe form itself.

If you can't get the data to show let me know

Apple products try to open pdf's with their built in reader. Download the adobe reader app and install it. Then when you open the pdf, an option in the upper right will allow it to open in adobe reader and it will display fine.

Don't want to get too far off topic but I'm running a RX471 in my EB48 and RX472 in my ET48. No issues with durability here and I'm good at wrecking.

I've had terrible luck with this servo. Started with one in my EB48 and it started doing this thing where it would oscillate back and forth when centered if you just slightly touched a wheel. Replaced it with another and it has a notchy feeling spot now when you move the wheels with power off. I've got a new set of gears to go in but I'm running Protek now in both my 8th scale Teknos and have had no more troubles.

I'll admit that I've been hard on them but will never buy another 1015.

Did you take the cover off the servo and look inside?

I had that same issue with this servo... I guess it was forced too far at some point and it broke some little plastic end point tabs on the cover... it was now in the gears... once I took those broken off plastic parts out of the gears it worked perfectly again.
Food for thought.
