Hw 4700 and tekin hd 4300 are the most popular 550 size motors.

HW is more like a 545 motor, shorter than a 550 but longer than a 540. Rotor is as big or bigger than the HD rotor.

If you need more than the HW 4700 you may need to step up to a 1/8 motor

Thanks to the tekno sct410 for being so amazing, really improved my driving. Last local race went really well, just ate the A-Main, came in first by 8 seconds racing with 8 other 4x4 scts.

Switching from my slash to the tekno was a big change. Funny thing is my slash ran 1/8 power and 3s, but my tekno has my fastest lap of 33.5s, compared to my slash's 35.1s. Sank so much into that slash too, funny how that works.

Thinking about what kind of fun stuff I might want to toss on the sct410 now. I already have the aluminum servo horn, hexes, front shaft, and lunsford turn buckles (lighter and easier to adjust). I'm surprised how planted to truck is in our medium-large outdoor track considering the stock setup is supposedly for indoor clay.

Aluminum steering rack/ackerman bar.
LCG motor mount plate
New delrin shock guides.
Carbon shock towers.
Most important hopup... put your own tune on the truck

Not much is really needed. You can add the couple other carbon goodies to take weight off the high part of the truck but I think that will be more bling than function.

Are you bashing because I can't think I would ever need more motor than the 4700 on the track.

Hi,

I´ve a tekno SC converted to EB48 "lite" powered by RX8-Pro4HD 4300.
I want to try this Battery (Duratrax Onyx LiPo 2S 7.4V 5000mAh 25C Hard Case)
Can I use it? The battery can be damaged due to low C rating?

Thanks for any info.

I wouldn't risk it. Yes they can be damaged. Look at SMC or Pro match for better battery options.

alright, installing the LRC blocks right now.

I got the EB48 here done, and working on the SCT410. I do have a question though, and yes if you feel like I am beating a dead horse I appologize before hand, but I want to be sure.

the Antisquat part I am cool with, just subtract 1 from whatever a regular stock setting would be, so you could down to zero.

For the toe that is a part that is getting me, and its because of the 1.5+ block.

Reason I say that is that the logic at one point was "1.5 more to stock" , but then it was conveyed that it wasn't right. That max toe was really 4.5, not 5 which is what you would have gotten if you compared max toe of the EB48 previously "3.5" with +1.5 on the block.

So that leads me back to the SCT410 setting. with the hubs adding in +1 of toe, max toe is 4.5 stock from what I recall.

However ,if I use the "add 1+" I get 5.5 now. so my question then is this, is it really +1, or is it like what we saw with the 1.5+ block.

Right now I got it at what I think would be 4.5 overall using the middle hole insert and the +1 from the hubs and +1 from the LRC block, but I am not sure.
