I dint run this truck last weekend with the longer link on the front carrier blocks and 7k in the front diff I just ran my mugen mbx6 for the first time . But I tell you what it seems like I'm faster with it than the sct 410 in stock form .
I think it's because the smoothest on the steering .

Absolutely love my HW SCTPro!
I'm talking about the twitchy ness with the steering on this truck in stock form without extra tuning compared to the mugen buggy . The only thing I'm trying to fix on this truck really is the oversteer and the steering smoother. I like the steering on this truck but there is a point to it lol.

I know but I was better with the mugen . I'm not giving up on the tekno though just need to tune it more to my driving .
Honestly if I can calm down the oversteer and the rear end steeping out if I drive it hard I can be fast with this truck .

that was something I loved about my speed passion GT2.0 Pro ESC, worked great pushing the Tekno even with the a 550 4 pole, you just had to watch your current limiting more.
Mates great with the HW 545ish 4 pole motors.

Il put it in better terms as a 4x4 sc i was faster with the MIP scte than this truck . Grated I had a lot more time with the scte with a aftermarket chassis than the MIP on outdoor tracks.
On tighter indoor tracks I was faster for sure with the sc410 .

Take a look at the configuration matrix of the SCT-Pro here:

As compared to a blank setup sheet of the v3.1 here:

Decision guide might look like this:
SCT-PRO: Low cost, can also run 4cell (can transfer to your EB48)
V3.1: Tunability, light weight

Take some steering out, you need more understeer. Besides the longer front camber link to calm the front end down, is your front kick up pill dot at the bottom? It should be for a low grip track. Is your rear anti squat pill middle dot? Or is the dot at the top?
Zero front toe out.
If its oversteering coming into the turn off throttle, you may have too much rear toe. If its oversteering exiting the turn you may not have enough rear toe in.

You could buy two SCTPros ($90 a pop) for the price of a single v3.1 ($187). However, the v3.1 has a LOT of tunability - so much that I don't think you're going to end up using most if it (perhaps if you were 1/10 scale onroad). So if you want/need boost and turbo, go with v3.1 because the SCTPro doesn't have it. At all. The v3.1 has it and then some (slopes, first and second braking rates, e points,

Hmm the SCTPro doesn't have timing ad boost? Well no thanks on that one and the v3.1 is the same price as an rx8 gen2 so idk anymore about the HW move

Question about shocks
The kit comes with rubber orings for the shock shafts used as external limiters. Is everyone running them or taking them off? How much difference if any is there with or without them?
Second question...
I thought I saw a post where someone had put set screws in the shock cap bleeders as opposed to the screws with orings. Does this work and what size set screws?

The SCTPro has timing but no Boost. I run it paired with the HW 4700 and haven't felt the need for boost against a handful of HD 4300s and a Trinity Zombie. The RX8s from what I've seen locally are fragile, more so the Gen1 but still. Is boost really worth double the price?

Edit: Woops, thought I was on the 1/8 scale forum. But same holds true, I don't run any of that - even in 4W SCT since I only use four pole motors. Doesn't seem to have the same return on investment as paired to two pole motors and 1/10 scale.
Another thought to consider is you could essentially buy a SCT PRO and a hotter motor, along with a programming card, for the same price of an RX8 - and then have an extra motor that you could run on a track that needs it (or to have a spare ESC or spare motor).
The RX8 and both Hobbywings are all very good speed controllers. Each has their pros and cons.

Here's a cheap set screw and what I use in the emulsion bleed hole. Per Kuya, don't go any shorter or it will leak.
If you ever do drill out the large hole, grab these to close them up. You won't strip the plastic and their less ugly
