To be completely honest... I'm not sure yet. BCE is known for their material and chassis make up. It seems a bit thiner and a bit more flexible. The guys over at BCE said that the rear brace is mandatory with their chassis. I'll know more once I get it on the track.

How much of the flex is from the lack of side pods, that adds alot of rigidity to the stock chassis...

@redbeard, please let us know how the chassis works out I am very interested. Love the look and am looking for something like that. Is that thing even available yet or is it still at testing stage? Thanks man

Really.... maybe some just prefer the attitude of the car with the weight shifted back. I've tested setups and changes all summer up to 3 times a week and like the way the truck transfers weight better with the battery I run shifted back.
I think maybe those calling people using the battery mod lazy are the lazy ones. The battery mod isn't for changing the trucks flight. Read the forum, research the mod, and don't come into this forum guns a blazin calling people lazy. Thats not how we roll in this forum. cpt_RedBeard! a wasn`t meant to be like that! I just try to explain if someone new coming on this thread like me, don`t jump right away to cut the tray. the car was felt great without do any mod for me! again im sorry if i hurt anybody feelings! i wasn`t meant to be! i`m posting my setup soon! |

Here are pics showing how I cut my side guard for the BCE chassis. Cutting it this way, you can still run the air control pieces if you want to.

Couldn't help myself I just pre ordered the BCE chassis. I'll be paying close attention to you Redbeard. Please let me know what to look out for if stuff comes up for you.

Chassis is 3 ounces lighter according to my shipping scales.
The BCE chassis definitely has more flex. Flex usually gives more traction and a more planted feel on the track. According to early adopters, the chassis calms down the rear of the truck substantially. I'm in the same boat as Cpt Redbeard, our weather has us both waiting on the local indoor tracks schedule for any testing, lol. |
my setup from last weekend

No problem, I was very excited to get a pre production chassis and will defiantly let everyone know how it worked out.
No feelings hurt, just trying to make a point and send a message. Thats not how we roll here, this thread isn't like others on RC Tech. Welcome to the thread and thanks for showing humility and apologizing incase you did offend any readers. Well said, this is a very unique thread and very good group of people that are all very supportive and knowledgable same is true of the other tekno vehicle thread and yet u go to another big name brand thread and if ur a newb or don't know the rc encyclopedia you are ignored, I wonder why that is????? |
I race with lazi...he didnt mean any harm. I would try his setup he beats me everyweek unless he breaks!:D

Does anyone know what the thread size and pitch is on the steering and camber turnbuckle rods? I'm wanting to use a left hand and right hand thread tap on my rod ends, so the turnbuckles will turn easier.
Thanks in advance for your help! |
