STRC Slash 4x4 LCG chassis coming soon

Stock Platinum shocks. 60w front, 50W rear. Tried Losi red 2.5" shocks up front to get a little more steering. I'm planning on Losi blue's for the rear next time I'm at the track. The heavier fluid seemed okay at the the track (clay with lots of traction).

If the blues are softer go down 5 on your shock fluids and maybe add a half degree of negitive camber in the front depending on the straights.

it will be great if there is a unique serial number on the pre-order set. even if it is printed on a sticker...

Ok guys just talked with Steve. All parts are at the anodizing factory getting the hard anodizing done. Once he gets them back he will let me know and I will again update everyone on where we are at in the process.
Its getting more exciting knowing the parts are at the anodizer so just one more step closer to all of us getting our chassis's.

Black and blue are going to be the two standard colors for the LCG chassis. During the pre order process they where the two colors that where ordered way more than anything else so it is a good indicator in what to keep in stock.

Did take the LCG STRC Slash out last night during practice. Even with 12 plus guys on the track I did manage to run 4 tenths faster than even on this layout and could easily go faster once I got use to the truck again. Been running 2wd Slash now til my new STRC chassis shows up. If I really took the time last night I could easily shave another 2 tenths or more off my time.
I will say it is amazing how different running a 2wd SC is vs my 4wd SC. My 4wd just has so much instant power with that 3800 4 pole Castle motor. Amazing how much rip that little motor has.
Last night I really did get to play around with the motor mount. I didn't have long enough motor screws in so my motor was coming loose which was totally my fault. Nice thing though is I changed pinions 2 times last night and then used longer motor screws to mount the track part of the aluminum mount to my motor. Then sliding it into place and getting proper gear mesh was a breeze. Could of been easier!!!!!!!!!!! Just use the right sized screws for the motor.

I run Proline shocks and suspension. Front shocks I run yellow/yellow springs with 32 1/2 oil, middle hole on tower, 1 hole out front inside on arm. Silver sway bar with 10k front diff. Center diff I run 60k. Rear I run yellow top spring/either yellow or green main spring with 30wt oil. Middle hole on tower and in 1 hole from outside on arm with black swaybar. I run 5k in the rear diff. Right now I use STRC .5 degree rear hubs so I have a total of 3 degrees rear toe. If I need more rear bite I can go to either the STRC 1 degree rear hub for the Slash 2wd or I will use the stock Traxxas platinum rear aluminum hub which is 1.5 degree extra toe in. Running right around 24mm of ride height.
