The mounting pattern of the motor is wider than the holes in the motor mount.

Looks like I should be able to dremel some relief as long as the button head of the screw has enough room.

i have an orion vst2 6.5 and it fits perfect. you shouldn't have to do any modifications. just make sure you have it aligned with the motor mount correctly.

I have an extremely nice and clean B44.2 with Avid chassis as well as several other upgrades, lots of NIP parts, custom body, NIP body, new tires etc that I will be listing for sale in the next few days if anyone is looking for one. Super nice car! PM if you are interested.

What did you have to take off the diff halve to get the bone from not bottoming out? I already have the stock CAV bone on it right now.

Thanks

any of you guys put in the new x-rings in the b44.2 shocks? thinking about a re-build. I would think it would make these shocks better and last longer.

I use them in the v2's and they work great smooth and don't leak.

I was under the impression that using Xrings in the v1 shock was not a good idea. Associated changed some of the o-ring bore dimensions?

This is correct from my experience. I recently tried to rebuild my v1 B44.2 shocks with X-rings, and found that they leak profusely. I talked to Chad Due at the track that day, and he said that the old and new shocks have a difference of a few hundredths, which is enough to make the x-rings not work in the old shocks. I rebuilt using the red orings and all was back to good.

that sucks. Yeah, I now remember that post on one of the b5 threads a while ago.

any word on AE releasing re-build kits for the b5 shocks? would love to put them on my b44.2.
