Your welcome. The vids are pretty good at giving a visual and a lot easier than trying to write what I'm saying. Tomorrow I will have my old kit in hand and I can show you guys a visual on the plunge in the rear CVD. Good stuff to know when you build or rework the kit.

It's amazing what grown men talk about..The look on my wifes face if she new I was sitting here talking about which tires are cleaner when new..

Personally Losi tires have been the cleanest..JC's are "dry" but it takes forever for the "brown gook" stop when cleaning them..

UN, what do you clean with? Motor spray is great but dries quick..

It may be hard to believe but I have never in all my years bought a losi tire. So I cant speak of them.

I do all the prepping cutting scuffing poking holes first.

At the track motor spray or Denatured alcohol on the bead of the tire.

At home I give them a good scrubbing with Dawn liquid soap and or windex. But before mounting them I always use Motor spray or denatured alcohol. I don't trust the soap or windex and want to be sure I get any contaminants off before gluing.

Looking for some pinion advise. I'm running a Tekin 6.5 turn motor on a med. bite indoor clay track. The current layout is fairly tight with the longest straight away around 60' starting at the end of a 180d turn and ending with a narrow 90d turn. The rest is fairly tight.

I am running a 4.5 with an 18t. About the same description of track, temps are 145/150 20 degrees on the can. So I would start at 19/20t. Monitor the temps closely till you find the right pinion. I am going to guess 20/21t is about right. But I would play it safe and start at 19t

I just verified that I have a 20t in there now. I haven't check the temps in about a month other than using my finger lol. The temps were fine a few weeks back (140to 145)and the air temp at the track is much cooler now so I figure just using my finger is close enough.

Ok to use 14g wire on RS Pro hooked to gen2 6.5t?
Can't get the 12g crimped down small enough to fit into the posts.

Ok to solder on outside the slot like attached pic?

If I remember correctly it is a little too thick in the middle to fit with the vts. Maybe someone that is using it can comment?

@ UN4RACING - Really nice videos, thanks for taking the time to make them.

@Fq06 - I think that 14 gauge wire would be absolutely fine, but if you don't have any, the way you soldered that wire on ( I assume that is 12 gauge in the pic) should be fine, though I would shrink wrap the posts when you're done just to make sure they don't short out.

Don't shrink wrap the post on Tekin ESC. They are the heat sinks also.

Anyone know of any company's that make body wraps for this car? I like the matching paint theme on my race cars & now that I've added another car to my fleet, keeping up with the painting is going to be a hand full!

Thanks guys

One more thing - just finished assembling my kit & I have some terrible bump steer? Went back over everything & unless I'm an idiot, everything is assembled correctly? Is there some type of steering mod that has to be made to this car? I tried to search, but nothing comes up about bump steer?
