Here's another carbon fibre option with a +2mm front setup from McKune:
Mckune Design RB6.6 carbon fiber shock towers -NeoBuggy.net ? Offroad RC Car News

Seems it's a bit thicker than the tebo edition. I've only broken one or two of the Tebo editions and the crashes were quite worthy of breakage. Haven't tried the McKune version yet but I know some guys have had trouble getting them from Tebo when he's out of stock etc.

I've been running the MIP puck setup in my stock RB6 for a while. I actually even ran it with an 8.5 for a while. It's awesomely lightweight, however has a few major issues. The puck setup on the RB6 is quite a pain to complete, you'll need to drill the bones and use avid axles as the MIP axles and hexes don't sit flat. You will have wobble in the wheels if you don't ugprade to the avid axles. Avid axles never break. Second, you will need to make sure you use the proper pill inserts in the rear suspension hangars and pay close attention to your droop settings as the depth of plunge on the MIP bones is different. You will probably want to use Din/Din or Cin/Cin or so otherwise you risk the bone popping out. All this being said it is a significant weight savings and it's rotational weight.

McKune does make a +2mm tower but IMO its not right because the shock holes match the regular tower holes unlike the JTP one which has the shock holes further in to match the angle of the shocks.

The McKune Carbon is of a superior grade which is why I run the McKune towers now.

The +2mm thing does nothing for the car though. The tower is taller, but you make up for this by basically making the shock longer with out increasing the stroke. I just run the regular now and its easier to get down travel when drilling an outer 3rd hole in the arm.

@Jack Smash: are you running on carpet? where do you race usually? What's surface like? I've heard a few guys trying drilling the third outer hole on the arm, but mostly for carpet. Thought maybe you might run at 702?

I run the JTP tower and generally my stroke length is set to 19-20mm and I use the Long shock end. I'd need to do more back to back testing to really give an opinion. I've been running the JTP forever. Forgive me

Any aftermarket laydown body options for this car? Not seeing much outside of the Kyosho one, any other bodies fit decent?

I'm running this one on carpet, wasn't a big fan on dirt. Fits fine with the laydown. Just didn't follow the back cut lines, left some more material towards the shock tower.

I've used these, currently on the kit body on the laydown car but the laydown body shown here is great on super high grip

Anyone run Tebo's new fastlane setup? Has the new v2 towers. Could be similar with kit or v1 I presume if adjusting the stroke/rod end.

Interesting the rear pills are D in D in. The rear shock is pushed out on the rear arm to the middle hole. I presume that is for stability. I've been running A all around as it makes the buggy easier to drive and more stable. D-In seems real aggressive, potentially unstable and more prone to traction roll. Maybe the sum of all the changes eliminates this. Anyone have an opinion on that setup or running d-in with the middle hole on rear arms? Don't want to take the car apart in the limited time I have before a race. I'm running medium to high grip clay. Thx all

The new towers are lower and wider than the V1 tower. In fact, it is wider than the stock plastic pieces.

I installed the V2 tower on my car with no other changes and the front end felt like it had improved stability compared to the other pieces. I am still working on my setup but I also moved up to a mod motor so I am learning to drive that too. I guess what I am trying to say is that it will be a while before I feel comfortable posting a setup.

Caster inserts - 0 degree: I've ran out of matched pairs (A0 and B0). I can only find two B0 inserts and would like to go to zero caster. Can I use B0 inserts on both sides? I figure since they are 0 degrees it technically shouldn't make a difference. I understand with 2 or 4 degrees would be flipping one but given it's zero I'm figuring it's fine... can someone confirm?

I was going to say no but since it should be a straight hole u may be able to I would measure the material thickness on the ends w a venier to see if it's go any type of offset. Where u locates I have tons of extra inserts I could send u a few
