I've got DE Racing Speedline wheels on mine. Haven't noticed any fitment issues. Wheel nut locks on just fine.

Have you guys re-geared your machines? currently i'm running the unit on loose dirt which is pretty good, just over powers the tires, but eventually it will end up a clay car, is it worth while re-gearing?

I'd wait until you actually get the car on clay, figure it out from there. I run on carpet/turf, *when I run it. It's been a while, I forget my pinion/spur combination. I did swap out the ball diff for Kyosho's gear diff though. I feel it drove better for my situation.

I’d thought this was to be a quick repair. But nope. Can’t find the parts listed. Amain, Tower, EBay. ebay has what I think might be part of the parts. But not all

Well, I found the parts. Pins from Iowa, the standoffs from California, pivots from New Jersey.

It wasn’t me. Honestly. My friends the little dudes, 9-10 years old. Haven’t quite figured out that 2wheel drive has different brakes. There’s a bit of uneven pavement at work. Goes from asphalt to concrete, and there’s about a 1/4 height difference. Slide into it. They tend to try to show off to each other. They drive better alone

My buggy has only run pavement.

Makes sense. I run an Avante on pavement. Those don't like jumping. At all.

The Kyosho has actually been good on pavement. Some surfaces are better then others. This happened on the slick surface in the back of the shop. I like the challenge.

Overall, the buggy has taken more hits. This is the first actual break. Even if it hadn’t broken, I knew it was getting about time for some work. The rear two bottom screws have been scraped almost smooth. Basically going to have to break the already broken plastic pieces off to get the screws out.

Default Used?

I race at an indoor capet track (currently only have a stock slash) and want to try 2wd buggy. It's not a big track and usually several tight turns vs big jumps. Most others seem to have latest gear (Schumacher/Associated/xray mostly), but my budget wont allow.

I have an offer to buy a rb6.6 (not ready set version) rtr minus radio, which i have, for $150. Very little local parts support for Kyosho.

Would this be a good deal?
If so, What are common broken parts to keep on hand?

$150 sounds like a steal for an car just needing RX/TX. What kind of condition is it in?

Spares to keep around are standard types... Front, rear arms. Knuckles, C-Hubs, shock towers just in case. That's what I take with me. I always get my parts for it online unfortunately. If it doesn't have the alloy front suspension mount, one of those as well.

It´s an excellent idea.
When ordering extra arms, get the RB7 front gull-wing arms to replace the flat arms if/when they break. It allows you to run lower ride height which is a must on carpet.

I’ll have to keep that in mind if I get to try carpet. There’s a definite ride height difference from my Kyosho to my XRay

original rb6 body help
car is in mid motor, from memory the kit body doesn't reach all the way to the rear, however it has been cut as it started out life as a rear motor car. I want to fit a new body so if someone can confirm the kit body doesnt go all the way to the rear tower
if not dont want to run that one, dont think the 6.6 body fits but its a tad hideous, the jconcepts illuzion would be my choice but obsolete and cant find one anywhere, last option is the proline phantom, ugly as... looks like a house brick on wheels so would prefer to avoid it
the kit body prob has the nicest shape.. any ideas?
thanks.
