Ok, so adding shims does decrease squat. Manual sucks , so if I'm just the bumper which is almost 2mm under hinge pin holder I'm 2.225 ? Right.

You have to run the bumper.
No shims between the bumper and the hinge pin holder is 2.225 degrees.
Put the 1mm shim on top of the hinge pin holder between the hinge pin holder and the bulk head.

this is how I have it, 2mm spacer and no bumper don't have one. I'm assuming my anti squat around 1.5 because I don't know real size of bumper. anyone tell me the size of bumper? I love the way my car drives just checking to see if I can make any better.

The bumper is 2mm so your at 2.225 degrees.
You should still get a 1mm shim on top of the hinge pin holder or 1mm where the transmission sits on the rear bulkhead.

I really don't know, weight is 5g about the weight of a bumper. Ive tried both ways and car works better with it. once I reduce anti squat I may not need it. My girl is chubby, plus size model she does not like being weighed. I go off feel I have a lot of weight on front to keep from to much wheelie. If I loosen slipper anymore it will ruin it. I run a 6.5 LRP it was a back up motor for my d413. The car feels great just the way she is, jumps, lands, and corners excellent. Ive read this entire thread from page 250 over last 6 months and id want to say thanks for all the help. This car was only a back up car (rtr) in case my d413 broke. Now I like it so much I drive it more and more.

Dearest RED ARMY,

I had a head on collision with an 8th scale tonight and did this.....

Here's my dilema,
We might be leaving Thursday morning headed for Trackside in Wisconsin and have no way to afforably get parts here by then. Anyone in here from Trackside have a set? Even stock arms will do.
Maybe I could have a set shipped there.
Guh....never thought I'd break these.

Curious what you folks are using for anti squat shims.. picked up a couple used rb6's and neither one have shims under the tower or the arm mount. Have a huge parts alotment. Curious what the stock shims look like so I can see if I have any. Also for alternatives.

Thanks

my best advice is to down load a manual from kyosho web page and .5 shims go under rear arm hanger and between hanger/rear bulkhead.

I have the manual. I just prefer to see what the shim looks like vs the rether generic pic in the manual. Especially comng from AE and being used to just changing arm mounts and on the 5m series the pill inserts.

Hi guys just jumped the gun and bought a brand new old spec RB6 (new 2015 spec is all sold out until end of January here in Japan).

Can somebody point out a good starting setup for mid motor on an indoor clay track with low-medium grip track? Will be running in 17.5 blinky class locally here.

Ive seen plenty of setup sheets on PetitRC and it is kinda overwhelming to choose from.

Thanks in a advance.

When you guys strip an idler gear, do you usually replace the main diff gear also? I always clean all the other gears, but can never get the gears clean enough to be nice and quiet as new.... I clean all the gears with an exacto and tooth brush... Is it better to replace all of the gears when your transmission becomes noisy to avoid the idler gear stripping?

Gear diff... This 1/8th driver really misses gears

I've seen a couple, but tuning the rear ball diff seems more like black magic than science. Does anyone have a really good tutorial for this? Or if I'm running on a relatively high grip track, is a ball diff really the better option?
