Has anyone tried a different spur other than 76 in mod?

I'm running a 84. 22 is the biggest pinion I could fit. My driving is way off pace but straightaway speed seems to be right there. 8.5 with 15 degrees motor timing and zero speed control timing. I was going to back off the timing and gear up but kiddo kept me busy with 2 more broken rear arms. I'll have this second car going soon.

Any body see any negative effects running the battery against the motor? I just got done cutting my side guards to try the sideways setup, and I am going to finally get some practice tomorrow so I want to try the following and see what I like best; Regular inline, against motor inline, and sideways. If done some running with it against the motor and the battery sure does get warm seeing as my motor comes off at nearly 180 degrees after a 6 minute qual. Anybody have any long term effects on the battery?? Thanks guys. Trophy race this sunday hoping to finally have this car dialed in and stop looking like an idiot

Ok so I've tried to figure out this anti-squat stuff and it seems that I can read 10 articles and 5 say one thing and 5 say the opposite.
To increase anti-squat I add spacers to the front hinge pin brace - correct?
To decrease anti-squat I add spacers to the rear hinge pin brace - correct?
Also would and increase in anti-squat take away forward traction? And adding spacers in the rear increase forward traction? This sounds more logical to me but I'm not sure which way to start. I'm searching for some more forward traction.

I have run that way and had no trouble at all. The battery stop under the motor helps. I had a gap from the motor, it was small but air flow always helps. 180 is kinda high but RCHR is pretty tight and I came off hot there too. 17.5 is great sideways when there is traction.
If the worry is the long term, simply try some Al foil on the back of the battery. That will give some heat shielding.

I'm planning to try a 72 spur next time out to move the motor a little closer to the rear of the car.

I'm shopping for a new steering servo, can you all share some suggestions and thoughts? I'm currently running savor 1257(RB6) and 1258(D413) and both of them don't seem to center very well. I seem to have to RE-trim to get it back to center somewhat often and turning full left/right generally does not go back to perfect center. Or...perhaps it's a radio setting? This problem happened with both my radios DX3R and my newer 4PX.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if a slipper eliminator for and RB6 will fit and RB5. I run dirt oval with this car and i would like more options for gearing as well as the advantages of running a slipper eliminator such as the one from exotek
