Looking for feedback from anyone who has done a back to back test between the 521-1 arms and stock RB6 arms. What were your impressions.
I was also curious as to if anyone else could confirm my findings when comparing wide hangers vs narrow.
Narrow Hangers - I felt the car was a little free entering a turn but would have more grip when accelerating out of the turn. The car bounced around a little bit more than usual over the small bumps.
Wide Hangers - I felt the car had more grip, namely side bite, when entering a turn. If you got on the throttle to hard, you would break loose and the rear could wash out. I didn't notice the car getting upset over the smaller bumps
Anyone who has run the B4 platform, I almost compare the feel of Narrow hangers to C hub tower and wide hangers to A hub towers.

yeah, narrow should have you more forward bite. but wide will be more stable in the bumps. same thing as the sc10 with normal wheels and +3 offset wheels. I really liked the wide hangers on my rb6. I had no desire to tun rb5 parts on mine, plus it was so planted and so smooth that I never felt a need to change it. But then again, i dont rip it out of the corners, I roll in and roll out.

I have not tried the wide yet but am going to install them today. Your info all sounds accurate.

I like how my car feels with narrow but have had a nip set of kyosho gun

I tried the 521-1's for about three weeks and switched back to the stock arms. Once I get a chance I plan to run them back-to-back on the same day and would like to actually install one on each side on the bench just to measure the relative droop as a starting reference. Even with the recommended shock lengths and eyelets the RB5 arms just haven't quite worked for me aside from one track surface which was medium bite indoor. They'll get another chance at some point, but I really like my (mid-motor) car with the kit arms right now. I'm not expecting any groundbreaking differences either way.

Narrow hangers locked in the rear a bit for me and I am faster into and out of the corners without a doubt. Feel most similar to my b4

once I get the rear end settled, I'll start working on the front. From what I can tell, the only difference I have there will be the links and castor. I have middle hole on the bulkhead vs outer hole. And I have 25 / 0 castor vs 25 / 4 castor. This is in comparison to the std Japanese setup that was recommended. I'll have to go over all of the washers and ball studs in more detail too just to make sure I don't have anything goofy going on there.

I'm running 30* but am going to try 25* this weekend again. I have been happy with the 30 but quite a few dudes here are running the 25* and they are dialed as well.

I've ran 30-0, 30-2 30-4. The 30-0 feels the best for my track. Sooo... I'm going to keep going down an test more. I did run 25-0 and 25-4 but that was before the care was really dialed in, soon after I had bought it. I have had alot of time with the car now and this is one if the last things I want really play with.
